Say if we keep our current players through this season, we reach the play offs or promotion. All we need is a win at the last 'home' game in Northampton against Wolves. Imagine a sell out crowd, packed out on Jimmys Hill. Don't tell me you wouldn't go to that, it would be a big day for the club if we went up. And I'm a supporter of nopm..

The team would under perform with a higher attendance with all the boo boys back, their doing well now cause the players are being encouraged and clapped off the pitch etc for their efforts.

Played 5, won 2 drawn 1 lost 2. Out of a cup and in League One

Why on earth would anyone think we are "doing well"

Imagine playing at Northampton in the Championship, with gates of 6,000?

We should have 3 main aims at present:

1. Get a positive points total.
2. Get off the bottom of the table.
3. Get out of the bottom 4.

Lets see when we achieve those before even thinking of where we might finish. We have a chance to get back to zero next sat; which would be a decent achievement in itself at this stage of the season.

If we hadnt of got deduction we would of been 7th, if we won yesterday we would be 3rd, so yes we are doing well. Being out of cup is a blessing

So we can't defend properly either at Sixfields, is that thanks to the fans who decide to go to Sixfields?

League form - won 2, drawn 1, lost 1...7pt from 12 with a +4 GD. I think that is doing well especially whilst trying to bed-in the new young players & knowing we're a CB short of what we need to stop us leaking goals.

I also think it doing massively better than many thought we would.

I think that's true and it reflects great credit on Pressley and the squad.

Given the myths that built up over thorn Presley should be given massive credit. A depleted squad and off field issues no manager should ever deal with its been a tremendous effort to focus the squad the way he has.

Imagine playing in Northampton in the Championship with gates still around 2000.

Imagine gates of 6000
It's easy if you try
No SISU out banners
Every game on Sky

Imagine all the people
Camped on jimmy's Hill
You.ooooo may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one (...there's our mate Timmy and Joy too )

Better still what if we drew Northampton Town at "home" in the FA Cup

Current form is 1.75 points per game or 80 for the season. Dreadful start. Come back Andy Thorn.

Remember thorn was unbeaten before his sacking.

I would imagine most fans on here would be foaming at the mouth if the club got promoted.

Come on Grendel, even you don't believe that. 90+% will be over the moon. Wanting the team to do well and wanting City back in Cov and wanting SISU gone are all separate things (though some are worried SISU may be around longer if we went up).

sorry to go back to 1977-78 season when we finished 7th scoring 78 goals, defensively we were poor then conseeding 62 in 42 matches.
It could be the goal difference that will cost us if we don't get it sorted out.

Don't know about you Deano, but I'm worried that these scouts (who now have a nice extra Sunday game every fortnight to attend, due to our scheduling) will chip away at our early season performers before transfer deadline day. Sorting out our defence may then be the least of our problems. If they all (except Christie, who I fear will be sold) stay, then hopefully he can get a CB or two, move JordanClarke to cover for Cyrus and hopefully we'll be ok. Fingers crossed mate. Still think the biggest battle by far is off the pitch though (sadly).

Are you serious? Exactly how do you think SISU are planning to finance the season on crowds of 2000? The players will be sold the second they can get anything for them and we will be lucky if we stay up.

Promotion? You have got to be kidding me.

We are rooted to the bottom of the table and have a defence more leaky than a pair of old boots.

Clean sheets and back 2 back multiple wins is the way to go.
