Sorry Sky Blue Pete. That would be a complete disaster. That would only allow SISU to prolong the agony and would in no way assist the long term future of Coventry. And SISU have stated that they will only negotiate for buying the arena on their terms.
That can't happen, most can predict what will happen if SISU get the RICOH. As it has in all its dealings it will bury us under a convoluted ownership structure. The arena will separated from the Football Club, the club will have to pay rent to use the arena (at an undisclosed fee, bet its more than 1.4m) and we are in the same crap we are today, but only with no way out.
At least today there is one route to salvation, think very carefully what you wish for. You just might get it.

While we are about it maybe get the players to turn for free, Fisher to work for nothing and SISU to forego their "management charges". Oh, and Compass give away the beer and pies.

I think you will find the Ricoh is free for this season.

Don't lose your sense of humour pete, it's all we have left

Course it's just a shame. Sisu won't stay at Northampton they will play at the Ricoh before Xmas or the club will die ! Who can we influence? CCc not sisu so why don't we start. The national media don't care and fa couldn't give a monkeys toss

I would love them to make a rent free offer, not sure it would be taken up though. Fwiw i was outside the council house several years ago, before sisu took over, with about 100 others calling on the council to help the club avoid administration by giving it a share of acl, i would be happy to support a similar protest now with regard to no rent.

I'm gonna email my local councillor to raise it

Sorry Cheshire but here we go again...more unsubstantiated comments. Prove to me where SISU have 'stated' they will only negotiate to buy the arena on their terms?
What you go on to speculate is also far fetched rubbish. I could do the same and suggest they will get the arena and then clearly sell it on with the football club for a return on their original investment? But you know that would be pure speculation on my part, can't possibly happen could it?

As for the free rent this season. I made this comment some time ago. Why not? Who stands to lose out if such a deal was in place? match day cost apart this would benefit everybody. problem is drawing a line in the sand and letting go of ego's on both sides before any such idea can be possible.

ccfcway. A like for the humour!

Not strictly true though was it? The escrow was taken remember and they refused the CVA which would have made up the full amount thereabouts.

Just sent this

Kevin

I know you are a keen supporter of football and have asked appropriate questions in the past during the ownership of sisu.

I think it is now time to be urging those who are making the decisions and advising acl to make an offer of free rent of the Ricoh for this season.

It could be on a no condition basis while all other issues were discussed and resolved.

The club cannot wait as there are perhaps months until this current stand off leads to the liquidation of our city's club

Thanks

Pete

Free this season ?

You mean like it was last season ?

Beat me to it ccfcway. Exactly. I guess that's acl fault too?
Irrespective..hope if acl do offer they do so through the correct channel...saves all the lame excuses as constantly offered by Pax etal about non compliance with legal procedure...oh the irony.

Come on Pax we all know that Joy has said that they only return with the keys. What do you think that means????

ACL said so. Remember most simple souls on here salivate when PWKH opens his mouth. They believe everything.

If ACL said the would was flat mad jack James cloughie and all the other fan club members would never take a cruise in case they fell off.

Your joking right? Where has she said this? I know there was rumour and speculation but actually said this? Don't think so but if you would like to show me I'll give you a fiver! ;)

It's not up to PWKH or anyone else to prove themselves, it's up to you as the accuser to prove impropriety. Several on here could reel off Joy and Tim's record for bullshit (Joys judge statement, Tim's "sponsor in ten days" spring to mind immediately).

Why isnt the mantra,
'Sisu go back to the Ricoh and pay the 150k rent ACL have made clear they will accept?'

Sisu are the owners, responsible for the clubs well being, the ball is in their court- or should be is they are indeed concerned with our well being.

The ACL board stated:

Ms Seppala’s verbal statement during this meeting, made in the presence of her own lawyers that the only circumstance in which the Club would return to the Ricoh would be upon SISU assuming full ownership of the venue without any negotiation on purchase price.
"Ms Seppala also stated at this meeting her intention to continue to threaten ACL and its shareholders with expensive litigation at every possible opportunity.
