New Stadium (7 Viewers)

5 years is looking hopeful, let alone 3. Planning permission for the Ricoh was given in 1999, 6 years before we moved in and 2 years after it was proposed. Oh and 2 years after we had a full on 3D walkthrough of the fucking place, let alone a back of the fag packet artists impression. Shit I'd take and interpretive dance performed by Fishers dog at this point.

Not sure when it was (but must have been pre 99 as I moved to Canada in 99) but I remember going to some function or other at HR and Richardson had a little model stadium complete with sliding roof and sliding pitch, he was letting people have a go at sliding the pitch out!!!

One question that hasn't been asked, or at least answered as far as I'm aware, is what happens if we get to the end of the 3 / 5 year agreement (not sure if the extension has to be approved by both sides) and NTFC are fed up of us being there. Chances are by the AB will have gone and they might want their pitch in better condition. If we've got no new ground and get chucked out of Sixfields what then?

Cosh is tonight so boring you need to start this stupid thread.
It will take at least 12 months in planning so don't expect much to happen for quite a whilst.
CCFC supporters are really lucky they have SISU to blame for everything.
Sorry but there are too many people on this site excusing SISU, in 12 months time if we are still playing at the cobblers to 2,000 gates the long term damage that will have been done to this club is unmeasurable, currently this once proud club is playing to the lowest crowds in living memory, is in the third division, soesn't have a club shop but a barrow in a shopping centre, is on a transfer embargo, is bottom of the league. The blame game is often played but SISU are leading the new stadium project and if there current record is anything to go by we have every right to be worried. If not SISU who else is to blame.

We need more digging and scrutiny of what Sisu are or are not doing with our club. They are our owners after all.
Joy reaffirmed plans to return to Coventry, lets have the detail, there is no need for secrecy.
Let's have some detail or we may think they are bluffing and playing games with fans and the people of Coventry..

Enjoy your appearance on GMK? Bet you won't want to go back on there -- too many people interested in the football club.

A very badly played bluffing game?

I honestly think Fisher sits at home chuckling to himself about how clever he is.

There was a story at the Trust meeting about a guy who saw Fisher I think at Shrewsbury, and asked "What are you doing to my club?" Apparently Fisher replied "Trust me".

Kind of reminds me of the only time I met Ranson just after Sisu's first season, he said "We've only just begun!" How right he was.

I'm sure all Cov fans want to ask Tim Fisher 'what is the plan and timetable for a new stadium, when will we play in Coventry again'.

One thing's for sure is that SISU will never get planning permision within the confines of Coventry.
As such if they are seriously contemplating a ground local to Coventry I wouldn't rule out an upgrade of Nuneaton's ground under a ground sharing arrangement particularly if Nuneaton manage the step up to League Two.

Seeing as a deal for the ricoh will never happen, we won't be playing there again and the new ground will be outside coventry...people who doubt what sisu's plan is need to start to listen to them....as much as I want them gone they've done what they said they would...everybody said the groundshare wouldn't happen . It's not about the ricoh anymore, both sides have moved on.
Both have moved on from the Ricoh? One side owns it and the other has appealed against a judicial review regarding the Ricoh.

Give. me. strength.

Early days, but it would be interesting if Nuneaton did manage the step up.

It is likely that Liberty Way would need to be upgraded for the Football League, so where could Nuneaton play while the work was being carried out? Where is the nearest ground where they could be accommodated, any ideas?

FGS give it a rest. These things take time, far more possibilities maybe? Who knows but IMHO you are the biggest problem within my football Club, all negative & very few or no positives. HELP! PUSB!

And IMHO you still haven't told us what position you hold in the sisu set up.

Stranger things have happened! Not that I want us to get relegated but imagine if we both ended up in L2 and Nuneaton were at least temporarily playing at he Ricoh. We'd have to play an away game there! Wonder if Tim and Joy would show up?

How embarrassing would that be if they end up higher then us in the league sort of thing Sisu would promote.

maybe then we can loan some of their players.

Imagine 6 years ago, someone saying we would be..

looking up at 2 Welsh clubs in the ENGLISH Premier League.

A Welshman was the worlds most expensive player

We would be on MINUS points in League One

We wouldn't be playing in Coventry

Our "home" support would be 1,500

The judicial review is against the council loan . They're trying to put one over on the council..nothing to do with the ricoh...if sisu wanted the ricoh they wouldn't have left in the first place...some idiots on here. Council don't need us at the ricoh and sisu don't need to play at the ricoh...hope that makes it a bit clearer. ..which part of "we're building a new ground" don't you understand ?

Or rolling it up and smoking it with that weird stuff maybe bring you back to reality

.
When they had finished laughing, they might have suggested rolling it up with a bet that a Jock would be Wimbledon champion.

The bit i don't understand is key really !!
You need to buy land !!!
You need to draw up plans !!!
You need to get planning permission !!!
You need to employ a builder !!!
The builder needs to start building !!!

Five points that will need to be addressed if Sisu were serious !!!

Please Quinn how many of the five points above have been achieved ?

@ sky blue john.... Just one more point to add to yours...............It has to be built in the boundaries of "The City of Coventry".......Which it won't. ;)

Gullible or what?.....Fisher said at the forum meetings(Held nearly 4 months ago) "Plans will be shown within the next 2 weeks".....Where are they??? Fisher tells you...."There are 3 tanks with shit in"...one has shit up to the neck...the 2nd has shit up to the waist..the 3rd has shit up to the shins. You are asked to choose one, and you choose the one "Up to the shins"...........after 15 minutes Fisher shouts "Tea break over, back on your heads"

Quinn your post isnt even half witted.
1. The judicial review is to try and break CCC financial support to ACL, so ACL will be distressed, leaving the door open for Sisu to acquire the Ricoh on the cheap. It has everything to do with the Ricoh
2. They left the Ricoh, to starve ACL of funds and distress them, in order to get the Ricoh on the cheap. It has everything to do with the Ricoh
3. There is no evidence of any serious plan or funding or support for a new stadium. If there is any evidence, funding, support and a plan, lets hear it.....
