Hello, good start to the season for you guys? Sadly ours has been woeful!

Anyway, just thought it was worth mentioning that we had an open forum last night and our chairman confirmed he doesn't regret the Coventry deal and that Coventry have paid either early or on time so far - which I found interesting as a lot of your fans told us they wouldn't pay at all?

How is the general feeling about the move your end? Still disgust I imagine but it seems more fans are coming around to the idea and I suspect that will continue if you keep winning 5-4 every week!

Anyway I'm off to work out which one of our players will get sent off this week. 4 away games, 4 red cards, no goals scored - Oh Aidy Boothroyd we knew it was going to happen!!!

Ok deal. Although I think it's more to do with the fact that Boothroyd has signed some stinkers, but I'll place Karma in the blame pot also.

"Still disgust" shows you have no comprehension of our situation...any clubs future under a new investor could be the same as ours. Company Law won't protect you and the FL rules and administration systems cannot cope with a company like SISU who explore loopholes and are not shy of litigation.

Hope you have a successful season, I have no animosity to Northampton, it's football club, supporters or directors.

But this is becoming a fight for Football not just Coventry City.

Thanks for your interest.

Agree with Hobo. I hope Cardoza knows what he s doing for the sake of your club. I live in N'ton with plenty of Cobblers mates and have pointed this out to them also. There seems to be general sympathy, but still a few who are pleased that Cardoza is bringning in some funding for the club - a view reinforced by the fact that the issue of prompt payment was clarified at the forum.

Yep I think the issue is we understand both sides of the coin if that makes sense. We would be in uproar if we were in your situation and rightly so and we feel for you and want you to get a positive outcome of the childish mess these people have got your club into.

On the flipside, our chairman has never given us a reason for us to doubt his business judgement or acument - his family have put £8.3 million quid into the club - sadly it hasn't got us anywhere! We can question his decisions from a footballing perspective but business and £££ wise we can't. Hence it's tough for us, because we care about our club and it improving but equally we, as fans, care about other decent clubs.

Would we protest against the deal? No.

Do we disagree with the deal? Yes.

Although I won't watch Cov at your place, I do get my football fix watching you guys. Hope you beat Scunny tomorrow.

I suspect only the first months installment has been paid, say after 3 months sisu stop paying. Cordoza will say payments are still coming in to save face.

After 6 months he will let the cat out of the bag and state their not paying. This could be a likely scenario

I hope so too mate or the natives will soon want Boothroyd out.

He's tried to change the style so we are more attractive and currently it isn't working results wise - however at times we have played some lovely stuff so I think it will come good.

Well Aidy certainly has made you look more like Coventry City Reserves with his signings. I use to really rate the guy, but I think after his tenure at Northampton ends, so will his career.

He just won't allow them the use of the stadium if they don't pay - he already stated that. Whether he'd follow it through is another matter!

Shit or bust for him at the moment, if the change in style works then he'll do well, if it doesn't? End of career possibly.

I think SISU will pay on time, what option have they got, Cardozo will just lock the doors on ccfc, then what?

Picking up on a spelling mistake is a sign of defeat isn't it?

It's a sign of hoping the question is not answered as they know the next question after that and the likely answer.

All the stupid questions by you have been answered. And the evidence of what SISU have been up to backs up the answers you have been given, yet you still don't understand.

Do you always act thick when the true answer isn't the one you want to give?

In fairness the deal might be a good one for you. From what you say, you are lucky in having an old fashioned chairman who wants to do well for and as long as he can afford, for a club that means something for him.

We have a management fund representing anonymous investors governed by profit. The media think it is a landlord tenant dispute. It is not, it is about assets and profit beyond a football team.

They have deliberately wound us down, even relegated; to distress the company with the rights to the stadium. They have had options to buy but declined. They have had revised rent but declined.

They threatened to liquidate the club, so AcL went for administration to save our heritage. They put themselves in administration and appointed their own administrator.

They then muddied waters over where the share to compete in the FL lay and where the players contracts lay, within the associate companies.. Only one company was in administration so they created a blind garage sale. They inflated the debt which was owed to
themselves.

We had prospective buyers but their bids were hampered by 'the accounts are a bit of a mess'. And after a deal had been done the Football League, having docked us ten points said, we have cocked up in our administration!

The club was sold To Otium a SISU subsidiary who in April had NOT posted accounts for 2012, had no asserts, and were half way down the road to voluntary liquidation. They still haven't posted accounts and the directors are on a final warning from Companies house along with other SISu subsidiaries for not submitting accounts for last year.

Yet Otium have shown funds to The FL that they can finance the new stadium, take the loss of a move to Northampton over how many years....they have no ongoing negotiation for land in Coventry or joining local authorities.

Remember that decision by The FL was after SISU had threatened to pursue litigation against the FL during a process of legal administration. Basically the FL said the share to compete was held with Ltd the part in administration. SISU argued players registration were in Holdings which were not in administration...they as a company had a legal entitlement to the 'share' and would contest it thought company law not FL rules.

Documentation and accounts last posted suggest players registration were in Ltd all along. The FL who hold the answers...due to their incompetence admit THEy may have registered players under Holdings by mistake

The funds shown to the FL ? are they a sign of their ability to build a stadium or ability to engage in lengthy litigation against the FL?

The FL made a none League Club pay £100,000.00 up front to ensure they could fulfil their fixtures for 2013/14. SISU moving grounds over how many years no one knows? A 1 million pound bond......But folks that is retrospective of them failing to do so. What chance is there of getting 1 million from a liquidated subsidiary run by a savvy outfit like SISU. And Most clubs get docked 15 points by the FL not 10 for administration at he start of a season.

Were we still in administration partly due toFL incompetence and admin errors?

Northampton and every decent Football Club are fucked, your dreams are sterile due to International Investment and a not fit for purpose FL structure!,

This could be your future....please protest to the FL and Bob Ainsworth MP who is running a campaign on behalf of you...

Give him a break, he has got a quota to fill.

If you had to write 50 mindless posts every hour, seven days a week, I am sure a few typos would creep in.

A lot of investment is going into the Waterside Enterprise zone which covers an area from Sixfields through the town centre (ish) via the River Nene. New railway station, University site, development of Sixfields and Franklins Gardens, Carlsberg extension and so on. The idea of the Enterprise Zone is to offer tax breaks and other economic advantages to stimlate economic growth i.e. draw in businesses to the locale as Northapton further expands. An operation such as Sisu woiuld be nad not to take advantage of this in some way. The idea that this is purely a football issue is as Hobo says with the media, missing gthe point. I am sure Cardoza is looking at this also with his investment in the club (or the area of twon where hte club resides). I hope he is as asgtute as Cobblers fans think he is.

Good post mate. I think he is, he wants the club to be self sufficient and not rely on him and his family as much which can only b a good thing. That will come out of the income from conferencing, corporate and hotel facilities.

Incidentally it was revealed last night our loans from the council are split as follows : £7.5 Million for ground developments and £4.5 Million for the construction of a Hilton Hotel.

Sisu will definitely pay the rent at Sixfields. I don't think there will ever be an issue with that, certainly not with the situation as it is at the moment. Sisu need the situation to appear as negative towards ACL as possible. If they don't pay the rent at Sixfields it would instantly imply that the problem is at Sisu's end, not ACL's.

Yeah haven't heard or seen of any Coventry freebies being offered out around the area I'm afraid.

Any one else spotted the blatant Sisu plant?!?! LOL! We have enough secondary evidence* to completely blow your case out of the water, mate!

(*Also referred to by some as rumour).

Don't be afraid, that's good news*. It goes against the need for controversy on here, but it's good nonetheless.

*if true etc (yawn)

I'm not surprised they're paying the rent. The issue with the Ricoh was never whether Sisu could pay, it's just that they decided not to.

A rent agreement with Northampton that they negotiated themselves rather than inherited doesn't have that same circumstance. (EDIT: also the PR side that Sutty covers above)
