SISU realise that Elliot was a big PR setback and will now quietly get out of town.

I'm not disputing your info, but this I strongly disagree with because I honestly don't think they give a sh*t about Joe, the fans or the club. It's purely an investment and protecting that is the only thing that counts. As owners the only way imo they see a return is to get us promoted, so until that happens or until we have new owners, they have my full support, because let's face it we have little choice but to back them.

My take on it is that their stock won't fall any further if we are in the bottom six after 10 games, but if we're in the play-offs we become a more attractive purchase to hoodwink investors that we can maintain our position. On that basis unless the offer is too good to turn down (unlikely) then nothing will happen until well after the season has started.

True, true. I wouldn't be surprised if they refuse all offers but can you really see us going anywhere with the way things are at the moment? I'm not one of banging the drum of SISU out, but I think I would just like some investment. Other than that, what happens, happens. There's not an awful lot we can do other than continue to go up every week!

The sale IS iminent I can assure you all. From the mouth of a recent board member....SISU have the final offer and are expected to agree, there have been talks with the Higgs Trust to buy 50% of the Ricoh straight away. Exciting times lay ahead. There will be significent signings too.

Les,please stop building my hopes up again,i really can't take anymore. Each time a new rumour comes out concerning yet another new beginning i get really excited, and can't eat or sleep and then i turn to drink, and that's not a good way to go.
Anyway i'm off out, again

It's getting more like a TV soap every week:

Starring Swiss Tony chauffeured to and from Coombe Abbey, the Fat Token Local Bloke, the Mysterious Nigerian, the Tweeting Canadian, the Ex-pro Ex-chairman RR lurking in the background, Gary HassleHoff, Uncle Joe ousted from the boardroom, Geoffrey Robinson calling the kettle black, Andy Thorn starring as the Cockney Wide Boy, the Convict Woman-beater Marlon K jumping ship for a few dollars more.

Smoke and mirrors, 'mis-communication' and intrigue - it's all here on the QT - CCFC Confidential - don't miss tomorrow's episode.

wait for the due diligence statement first before you start believing the rumours on these boards

Hoff would not say he had put something in writing unless he had......

This is what he said:
“A verbal proposal was originally made and turned down, and a more formal proposal has been tabled but that’s all I am prepared to say at this stage.”

Doesn't say anything about putting it in writing.

Is most likely he has put in writing a intention to make a formal offer. An outline of what they are prepared to do to buy the club or invest in it, an indication of having the funds to do so, time frames etc. Wont put in a formal offer until SISU express an interest in taking things further.

words of wisdom from oldskyblue. Sisu or any other business never reveal the true figures and business details until some proof of funds to purchase, other wise any one could ask to view the details pretending to have a desire to purchase the business.
