I'd just like to say how proud I was at the lowly 1,789 attendance for the Colchester game. We have shown resolve for an issue that transcends a short-term urge to watch the team play.

Mr Fisher expected most of us to have crawled back by now but I think the message is loud and clear with SP and most of the media noting our absence despite the entertainment on offer.

The NOPM campaign is looking strong. Keep it up.

I'm not. I find it quite depressing that they're playing outside of Coventry in front of sub 2k crowds. Others on here seem to revel in it.

I just think it is shocking that all some care about is how many were in the game, how many were using free tickets, how many were stood on the hill rather than the actual result on the pitch and the football / team / on the pitch stuff.

You will also note I said some fans who are outraged and say they won't give a penny more probably didn't go to games at the Ricoh. Have you got any evidence that every person who says they won't give a penny more were at the Ricoh week in, week out if you want to start asking for proof and evidence about everything? The Crewe or Chelsea game doesn't count either.

You do realise the 2 aren't mutually exclusive.Particularly with FFP the link becomes absolutely critical. If we start next year at Sixfields, how many of our young stars will still be here. There is no guarantee that the next young crop of academy players will be at the same level as Christie and Wilson. So of course attendances are of critical importance to the clubs future,there is a huge correlation between club's wage bill and its likely league position.

Fisher was right in a way. Fans have gone from boycotting matches in Northampon (Keep Cov In Cov, etc) to watching the match for free from the hill - as admitted by Michael from the Trust yesterday.

OK, I know somebody who only ever used to come to the Ricoh when they were given a free ticket, I don't think they ever paid for one unless it was Crewe, Chelsea, West Ham, Newcastle and possible the Leeds game. They now refuse to go to Sixfields based upon NOPM, not because it is too far or they have personal reasons or money problems just because they are outraged about it, even though they didn't really go and weren't really fussed when we WERE in Coventry anyway.

Ultimately the attendances may play a role with our "better" players, what would you choose playing in front of 18k plus supporters in a decent ground or playing on front of 1.5k supporters in the wrong town?

Heads will be turned and people like Callum will not want to play in Northampton for the next 5 years, also with us playing on a Sunday for our "home" games it gives other managers the opportunity to watch our team.

Last seasons average home league attendance 10,948.

This season 2,020.

A decline of 82%.

Fair to assume that the decline in home supporters is closer to 90%.

I would say Mr Fisher has seriously misjudged his customers.

Surely all our priorities should now be about getting the club back to Coventry? What happens on the pitch is of secondary importance.

Therefore if you believe nopm will help then obviously getting low attendances are the priority.

Of course yes, I know our income depends on what we can pay in wages so obviously it would be very nice to have a packed out stadium and win every game I just meant that if I had missed a game or couldn't listen it I'd be asking "What was the score? Who scored? How did we play? Did we hammer them?" rather than "How many were on the hill? How many were there? How many free tickets?"

I just think sometimes some people need to step back and see what it actually is they are angry about, I'm not saying they are wrong to be angry.
