I feel it is now more important than ever that the boycott of Sixfields is stepped up. The tide, in my opinion, is slowly turning -- the survey (for all it's crticism relating to KCIC/NOPM) is a barameter, plus nearly 3 times as many going to Port Vale than those going to Sixfields shows SISU the support is there. The willingness of ACL to draw a line and start afresh and SISU not dismissing it out of hand is a positive sign.

The battle is far from won, far from it, but the tide is turning ! Support NOPM and KCIC now more than ever !

Can't see us returning this season. The survey and the big away crowd for Port vale says little that wasn't already known. The poll looks a bit flawed to me.

We are winning a battle against an owner that doesn't give a shit (and apparently has the money, with or without fans to cover the next 3 years) and a governing body that turned It's back on us a long time ago? Who exactly (if we are winning) are we beating?

Correct. It is about the people not in the ground.

Sorry VOR but I think the tide is turning the other way. NOPM cannot succeed IMO. It's time to accept the truth and think of new ways forward.

Well it won't be from those just sitting at home and doing nothing but critising everyone the poll was flawed the idiots on the hill the fools who go to the FL offices the stupid ribboners etc etc etc

If we move back to The Ricoh does it actually matter who got us back there? No.

In fairness it probably won't be one thing it will be a cumulative effort that has prompted any positive moves.

People sitting at home aren't doing nothing, they are boycotting games just like NOPM and KCIC have requested.

Broadly agree with this. The fans evidently arent returning in numbers despite great home form. There is a lot of bluff from Sisu in trying to get ACL to sign over the Ricoh on the cheap- they cant take this level of losses for years.
If we want Sisu gone, and it seems the vast majority do, then now is the time to stand firm. This may be about the best time for Sisu to sell, with the team doing well....

The truth, it pains me to say, is that SISU have won this particular battle and are here for the medium term. The way forward is difficult but will probably involve SISU recouping some or probably most of thier investment before loosening their grip on the club. This will probably mean them gaining some degree of control of ACL and the Arena. The argument now must be about how much control and how to protect the future of the club and the Arena.

Definitely a misleading article. All it says is that ACL are prepared to talk (a position pretty much consistent from day one to be frank), but without any answer from sisu. As such, as sisu still claim not to be prepared to talk, all it does is once more bring further publicity for a cxertain group ! On initial glance great achievement, but when you look at the detail ultimately nothing has been achieved! More SBT propaganda I fear

from the sisu angle, i presume it to be, we have to reward our invisible investors,
therefore we have to recoup monies, by whatever means, as long as it is within the frame of the law,
from the acl angle, i presume it to be, we have to hold on to our business model,
from the ccc / higgs model, i presume it to be, we must represent the community of Coventry,
from the Coventry City fans angle, i know, we want to support OUR team,
all of this mess, created by greed, by varying degrees,
the administrator, the f/l, & the fa are not willing to put their head above the 'proverbial',
in all of this, imho, it is the fans who are, & will suffer,
i applaud the efforts of the squad, manager, & staff,
an obdurate (howard hughes style), female controller, plus factions who are fighting their corner does not equal compromise,
get out of the closet all of you & just for once, TREAT THE FANS WITH RESPECT,
they are your customers, & not to be treated like something unpleasant you have trodden in,

Oh dear, so you say don't go to games and starve sisu out so people don't go and get ridiculed but if you stand on a hill and watch the game for free it makes you a savior. If we did go back the stuff importance and back patting would be sickening, would have to put you in the stands with hoffman and Elliott with a hero title.

Wouldn't it have anything to do with the fans that simply haven't gone to games? Or simply one side either acl or sisu blinking in the staring contest?

How on earth can that poll show the fans are winning? It is like saying nobody in Britain likes burgers any more after a poll was done amongst the vegetarian society.

I hope if we do go back, fans who have followed to sixfields are actually rewarded in some way for showing the club loyalty that wasn't shown to the fans.

You are right Nick. It is down to who blinks first. And SISU are poker players by trade.

We all know they had this planned ages ago. Non payment of rent whilst moving players from LTD to Holdings.

So to start with SISU had a pair of A's. ACL had a 7 and a 2. SISU thought they were going to win. But 772 was in the flop as the mortgage was refinanced. ACL have a full house.....just what Timothy thought he would get at Northampton. Two cards to go. An ace gives SISU the win. The appeal against the judicial review is one of them. ACL hold the cards.

SISU have been trying to get ACL to play the Ricoh against a pot worth much less. Maybe when they lose the review.....and if they do.......they will come back with a better offer to buy the ground or try to come to an agreement over the rent. They should be able to buy the ground for less money and less trouble than trying to build a lesser ground. But it is down to who blinks first.

SISU's stack of chips are going down quicker than they thought. Gates of 2,000 will make sure of this. The £560,000 they will have to give ACL will help their stack of chips stay a bit healthier than SISU hoped. How long will their investors keep putting money in before they blink? Joy may be in charge but it isn't her money she is gambling with. How long will they be happy with throwing good money after bad?

SISU have less than 3 years to show they are serious on bringing our club home or they lose another 1m if they want to keep the golden share. So 3 years of losses on top of this must be putting pressure on them. This is unless they can pull an ace out of the pack. Even Appleton sounds like he would prefer an agreement between the two. Both sides have gone quiet. They could even be talking now for all we know. Or maybe waiting for the review.

There are no saviors. We don't know SISU's next plan. Is NOPM working? Are they able to suffer losses for a few years when they could be making money now the wage bill is much reduced? If they moved back to the Ricoh there would be much more money in the pot to add a player or two and go for promotion. This would make them even more money. It is about time the name calling stopped. Most people now agree that you should follow your heart and do what you think is best. Most of us think it is best not to go to Northampton for different reasons. What we can do though is organise a drink or 3 when it is all over.......I will supply the boxing gloves :slap: ;)

In a position to say that, they would never admit that the lack of support is the reason why they would talk, it shows weakness, as it would if they admitted that the protests where hurting them, your comment is not fact, keep up the protests and the nopm!! It has significance!!

Everybody needs to do what they think is best for themselves be it just staying away or protesting on the hill.
We will not really know if it influenced SISU or ACL perhaps until it all is sorted out.
Personally only going away and perhaps a trip to the hill for Sheffield United makes me feel as I am doing something worthwhile.

Can't see how going to watch the team at Sixfields helps us get back to the Ricoh but each to his own.

Nick, you're a puzzle to me. You go to all the trouble of creating this forum for CCFC fans and we all thank you for that.
Yet at every turn you show a total lack of passion for the club, it's all sitting on the fence, being objective, fair minded etc. etc. You pour scorn and cold water on most fan initiatives and clearly without any shadow of doubt show an amazing tolerance for us being in Northampton. You mock those on the hill. I'd give all of them a seat in the VIP box at the Ricoh when we go back. I'd ban the Sixfields lot. Truly they are the epitome of selfish, self centred people. Putting themselves before the club. In years to come true City fans will hardly believe there would be people who supported the rotten Sisu regime in another town.
We don't know RFC, wish him no bother, but his blind acceptance of our position in Northampton and allegiance to Sisu is like a broken record. He may as well wave a white hankie of surrender. I suspect he'd support the team if they moved to Hull.
There's no question that four home games in the boycott is having an impact.

Nick; look back over RFC's posts over a number of threads and hopefully you will appreciate why he/she winds people up to the point where they respond as Italia did. I tried to engage in rational debate with RFC and got insults and wind ps in return. Wasn't looking to take this off topic.
