Absolutely but this is a one off chance to get our feelings across on live tv and do something different, we've been sat at home listening to the radio since the first day of the season and will carry on doing so unless we can get some publicity nationally

Its not really contributing to the Northampton economy though is it. These pubs are owned and run by national chains, and I am pretty sure that McDonalds has other outlets outside of the Borough boundary. Whats wrong with watching the game while you are there? The point being that it may well draw some media attention. Its not for some (or most, which is fair enough) but let them get on with it. The argument that these people wouldn't go if they couldn't see the game is irrelavant - the hill is there - get over it!

Trouble is torch, the longer this goes on, it's becoming less of a sacrifice to me. I didn't even plan my day around listening to the radio commentary last week. After having a season ticket for over 40 years, that's come as a surprise to me.

I don't think I'm alone in this either.

I did the march, legends day, but I won't go to Northampton even to stand on the hill, but applaud those that do. They are making a bigger sacrifice than me I think.

These business pay business rates to the local authority, so regardless whether a national chain or a local corner shop those particular outlets are contributing to the local economy.

And yet again the protest is all aimed at genuine Coventry fans inside the ground. Provocative and unpleasant and will end in tears. Listen to your leader Michael and see a bit of sense -Fireworks???? Think that would be a shortcut to the Police Van Im afraid.

If I wish to stand on a hill then that my choice just likes its yours to go inside the same stadium.
My view my choice.

All this bleating about what's morally right and wrong is just going to turn people off turning up to a protest, which is surely counterprodcutive.

How about just agreeing to differ and drawing a line eh, for the sake of everybody?

We will have it on in The Establishment Free of Charge - rather than draw people away from businesses why don't you support the ones around the Ricoh or in the city centre that will already showing it? why go to the expense of big screens etc, when there are plenty of pubs and clubs desperate for added revenue from such games...support your local?

That would be nice but don't think THAT many would go.

Particularly as the Telegraph have latched onto talk of abandoning the Hill for other events. The non-internet watching fans may think the towel has been thrown in and NOPM has failed.

To be fair I am going to the Hill regardless plus have to be at work for 6 so will miss some of the game anyway.

But second choice would be your place like to go for a coffee or breakfast there with the misses has a nice garden with a nice atmosphere especially early on a Sunday
