How could the Trust organise a protest?
They are supposed to be talking to all parties and get them together not protest against any one group.
If this is going to work its got to be KCIC or ourselves not the Trust.
Personally I am going to be on the Hill Sunday as I have said before and will confirm again.
Even if I am alone I want to make a personal statement.

It doesn't have to be protesting against any one group though.
The march wasn't, and as a result got numbers.
An assertion that Cov should be in Cov isn't taking sides, it's a statement of identity.

Agreed NW but I am trying to say that publically the Trust cannot be seen being on any one side.
They look to have got there act together with leadership and direction but to come out and help promote a protest is not going to help them getting to the right people. Am sure some will be with us on the Hill but not at the Trust but as supporters.

Matty, I understand your point and don't get me wrong I agree, however we needed some leadership in this situation and the Trust and KCIC could have easily (seperately or together) organised a message which was aimed at CCC/SISU this Sunday for the game against Sheffield United.

Matty, I've posted this on the other thread too - I'm pretty sure 99.9% of people agree ccfc belongs in cov and that's the message for Sunday. There is no consensus about what to do for sheff u so rather than saying we all have to do one thing, it's up to everyone to make their own decision. Some people will be on the hill. some people might do stuff inside the ground. Lots of nopm supporters refuse to go to northants under any circumstances so they can go to The Old Shepherd if they fancy it. And tbh the importance of sunday is being completely exaggerated. It is a chance to get our voice heard but this is a war of attrition with lots of battles ahead and the war won't be won/lost on sunday

I've been thinking along those same lines myself, and my conclusion is that the majority of posters on this site are heavily biased against anything that has anything even remotely positive about SISU, whether it is logical or not (and in most cases it is not). The standard request to prove this statement beyond any semblance of doubt will be ignored.
What I would like to know is how representative the opinions of the aforementioned majority on SBT is of the fan base at large. I can see straight away that the attendances at Sixfields have suffered, but the protests have been rather pathetically attended (except the march, which really made a mark). As far as I can see, when we get closer to home, whether it be at the Ricoh or somewhere just outside the city boundary, attendances will improve, especially if results combined with attractive football keep going our way.
There's almost a sub-culture that has been created where the club itself is no longer important, and has had its place taken by a sort of witch hunt whose only real aim is to destroy SISU, even if it means the end of Coventry City.

Whatever you do Sky wont be focussing on it - will be a brief mention in the build up but thats it - they are the least likely broadcaster to get involved in murky club politics. I suspect there will be more focus on Sheff Utd than us, what with them being the big club and that.
Of course if you do something really fucking crackpot like fireworks on the pitch etc as some have suggested on here then you really will stuff up the ability to protest forever.
Really dont know why you dont all buy a ticket, cheer the team when they do well and then boo the fuck out of them and shout Sisu Out if they go a goal down- you know, like you did at the Ricoh last year. There is even a special stand for you all opposite the main stand. You can wave your banners and wear your old 90s kits all you like over there.

Sky will not allow other TV Cameras inside on Sunday, but they have a chance to cover some of the game and also see a little bit of a protest so why will they not cover it.
Your comment about being in a different stand is typical, you are the sort who like being the centre of attention and helping to split the support.

I'd love to join, however my daughter is mascot for the day. It's our first match this season. We've missed going so much! I wondered how I'd feel about it bit I'm actually looking forward to it. I'd like to ask, while I'm here that anyone protesting, amongst the anger, remember my daughter and the other children that will be there. They only want to see Sam and their heroes playing the sport they love! Send the message but don't ruin their experience. They're at the age we all were when we fell in love with the game and the sky blues.

Obviously not. Have you seen the size of the hill? You'd need a thousand police officers to block off the whole hill.
To add to this its a public footpath too, how will the block that off.

You wouldn't need 1000 police officers though would you really. A handful of police and a couple of signs, and the hope that if it is closed our fans won't be bellends about it and respect the decision.

stgeorge. Can you advise who was it stated that there will be a ban on the hill on Sunday and what authority they have. You may well be correct, but as preventing people gathering would be a violation of civil liberties the authorities have to make a case for restrictions and then make public why. Sounds too Orwellian but may well be true.
