Its not about whether it cheaper apparently, Seppalla pretty much admitted so by saying the council wont work with her and she wont with them. On this stance I pretty much applaud the club as I dont think its correct the council can have so much of an effect over the clubs business especially when they are looking after there own affairs, its a total conflict of interest.

Not saying I agree with the fallout of this situation and in specific SISU's actions but looking at the councils own records over the last 30 or 40 years I certainly don't want them anywhere near the club.

Totally agree ,that's why everyone should stay away from sixfields and let sisu and the council sort it out between themselves , but remember its us fans they are fighting over , who ever wins without us they have nothing

As mentioned before. SISU are apparently prepared to take a financial hit over the next 3-5 yrs. Their hope is that it will bring ACL down and force CCC to offer a deal to purchase the Ricoh. The financial blow is a lot bigger than SISU expected as they did not envisage NOPM and gates of around 2k. I am sure they would have expected gates of around 5k.
We are where we are, and IMO the only way CCFC will ever play in the City of Coventry again will be if/when CCC sell SISU the Ricoh. If this does not happen, then there is no way CCC will approve plans for another stadium inside Coventry, even if SISU's plans to build one are genuine.
So, we are left to rot in Northampton or look at building a stadium outside Coventry or cheaper alternatives like Hinckley. If the Judicial review is again thrown out, then CCC/ACL will become history so far as SISU are concerned, that's if they are not already.

It's all about whether the council and fans can stay strong. A new stadium is a pipe dream, there is no return on it even if funding costs could be raised, of which the chances are practically nil. There is a point and an ultimate goal in what SISU are doing now with you in Northampton, but there never ever will be a new Coventry FC suitable stadium.

Don't be fooled - ACL effectively put us in administration. Sisu simply used the possibility to do it themself to influence the selection of administrator. And they did pay money to get out, to lawyers and even settled some - if not all - of the debt owed to ACL.
But it was money well spent in terms of it being peanuts compared to the overall burden of staying as tenant without access to all income streams and no possibility of building assets to secure their investment.

Firstly, yes ACL effectively put us in to administration. But you could also say SISU effectively put us in to administration also by witholding rent payments. ACL didn't apply to put CCFC ltd. in to administration did they?

Secondly, I don't understand how you can use that argument. I just laid out to you a simple list of differences between sixfields and the Ricoh and despite it being simple nobody can argue that sixfields is better. The only difference in income is F&B. It is worth f*** all in the grand scheme of things. Especially when crowds are so low. This whole thing started because of FFP (according to SISU PR anyway .....). Well the ratio of income against rent costs show that we are better off at the Ricoh than sixfields. So in terms of FFP we are now more fucked than what we could have been had SISU accepted a rent deal. People forget that.

Let's be realistic here, the JS interview is the most pointless piece of journalism out there, we gained nothing, questions we wanted the answers to were not asked, and you could fit buses through the gaps that JS left in her comments - prime example above contradicting herself.

Working with implies a formal relationship I.e. as tenants. Like you say it doesn't rule out other options.

So from that it is perfectly plausible to believe she went in and said here's what I want and my price or the club doesn't come back to the Ricoh. She says I'm not talking about renting anymore and we're only talking freehold now, so as a result the deal doesn't happen.

She contradicts herself in the interview, first she says she doesn't negotiate and then she says she can negotiate a deal. Which is it she either negotiates or she doesn't?

She doesn't contradict herself at all. It's particularly clear she's referring to no negotiation on rent, and to talk about rent would be wasting time in those negotiations.

Well it isn't 100% clear to me that it's about the rent as that bit of the article talks about 100% freehold ownership.

She does then go on to talk about rent, but the first part is about the freehold and her wanting 100%.

but your interpretation may be different. As we're building a new stadium and have moved on as she says later on, it's largely irrelevant.
