Not in uk at the moment. Talk of 30 mil investment. Any of that for players? If not won t the new guys just keep losing money. Is it all bollocks or a brave new dawn. Any info appreciated

To keep it short nothing has happened yet.

Hoffman and his consortium of investors both foreign and UK based made an offer to buy the club for a quid and take on the debts of £20M and the investors were prepared to put in a futher £10M to buy half of the stadium.
At present the bid has been rejected by SISU.

not quite right
20m was for investment in the team and future losses (so probably 10m for each)
proposal was for debts (which are to sisu) to be written off, subject to a payment being made if premiership was achieved within 3 years

Thanks mate. Appreciate the info. First thoughts, would a 50 percent share in ricoh cover losses made by football side of things? Maybe?

The written bid was rejected because it wasnt on letter headed paper, it seems as though SISU are tryin to hold out for a better offer and wana find any excuse to do so

Firstly, welcome to SBT. Unusual first post.

Secondly, I think this is bullshit. This is just another stunt by SISU. I can appreciate why the Hoff would not want to put it on headed paper in case his offer or a copy of it got into the wrong hands especially with SISU's recent attempts of 'transparency'.

Finally I would like to add that the only news source with exclusives from the Hoff is the CET which is part of Hoffman's newspaper group.

SISU threw the offer back, partly because of the much publicised lack of headed paper but also I would think because it was nowhere near their expectations

GH and his investors have with drawn their offer, stating they will wait for SISU to come to them.

Bottom line on the face of it situation normal - we are in the mire and nothing is actually happening

Anyone know any more about Gary Hoffman having an interest in the CT?
