Exactly Nick. SISU aren't 100% evil. ACL aren't 100% good.

Just out of curiosity, what is good about having Sisu as owners?

I would describe it more as SISU are 100% evil. ACL aren't 100% good

I would say only wums Leicester fans or people with half a brain would say no and wish the club stay in Northampton before being wound up - wouldn't you?

Can't see many Leicester fans reading the Coventry Evening Telegraph online sports section myself.

The Ricoh is a nice stadium and if it was CCFC's stadium and we were in the Prem it would be nice. At the minute it is an empty football stadium so why would I be too fussed about it? I don't see the reason to go there without the football unless it's a gig that happens once every so often or the casino for the odd beer.

I'm not doubting it is a nice stadium but so is the San Siro or the Nou Camp (not that I am saying they are on the same level) but CCFC don't play there due to a mixture of SISU and ACL's mess.

The Ricoh isn't the "heart" of a community, if it had a training pitch for example where they had kid's coaching and summer play schemes and things like that which made people go there then it would be different. You say that you only see bad in SISU and good in the Ricoh, you are blinded by hatred and that is not me saying "everybody must love SISU and be Tim Fisher's best friend".

If CCFC aren't there then most have no reason to go there but I am not sure how you can "support" a football stadium?

In the charity game- Billy Bell called the Ricoh- the "home of Coventry City"..... do you not agree then Nick?

Of course it matters how many voted. If it's a couple of hundred or even a couple of thousand then it's not representative.

86,591 and their dogs. It doesn't matter how many voted just that the huge majority voted NO.

Well it obviously isn't as we don't play there now? So because he said it, it just mean it?

Was that before or after people were messing their pants over Joe Elliott?

whats Joe Elliott got to do with anything?

Please keep posts relevant to the topics.

No of course not- albeit I still think of it as such... guess thats where we differ.
Once again assuming everyone "messed their pants" over Joe doesnt serve you well.

Just how many people would you expect to vote on an immaterial question posed in a local rag. They are just trying to
drum up support for sisu, and they failed miserably.

If it was immaterial you wouldn't be getting so excited about it.

Torchy I'am old enough to not get excited if the Queen of Sheba walked naked into my bedroom, so I'm certainly not getting excited by a poll in a newspaper.

Exactly. Which is why it's odd that so many seem to care about this "community asset" for the people of Coventry. Most of them couldn't give a fuck and have probably never set foot in the place.

Of that 300k how many are City fans, how many care about CCFC, Possibly 10% unless we've won the cup then everybody jumps on the bandwagon.

It was a clear loaded question by Les to prove his theory right that most Cov fans believe the Ricoh should be sold to SISU.

Hopefully he now runs an article showing that most Cov fans disagree with him.

Ok, that's fine, but you then also have to accept that if they are priced out of buying it then a new stadium is their only option bearing in mind they have said that only owning a stadium will do.

Absolutely correct .... now they just need to show us some evidence that they are trying. That's all I need to give them my backing (albeit I will still hold them almost entirely to blame for the current mess).

How many are fans?

Doesn't matter does it? An asset for the people of Coventry. Surely they are all interested in it's future? Told that enough on here.

To be honest it does not matter how many.

It was a clear loaded question by Les to prove his theory right that most Cov fans believe the Ricoh should be sold to SISU.

He put it on there so he felt it was worth doing and felt the result would be relevant

Hopefully he now runs an article showing that most Cov fans disagree with him.

So Coventry only has 2,000 fans?

Sixfield attendances suggest less?
Irrespective- even though the result shows 70-30 towards the side of the argument I personally favour- its a rather pointless poll. There is no control and it could not withstand any kind of statistical analysis or credibility- its a little like a Mugabe election!!(allegedly)
I think it is a really poor piece of Journalism-not really sure why we are debating in to be honest (says he posting on the same thread!!):pointlaugh:

How would you know whether it was only cov fans that voted, and not non cov fan Coventry residents or even rival fans on the wind up?
