Surprise surprise SISU resort to courts again (3 Viewers)

You just beat me to it Jack.

Sounds to me like they are getting desperate now, could be their last throw of the dice.

Joy did say she was going to tie them up in legal challenges or words to that effect.

Certainly show us their true colors and makes a mockery of their assertion that they have moved on.

Ann Lucas appeal:

“There is little merit in spending time and energy looking backwards. We are where we are. Enough is enough.
“Let’s sort this out now, and bring the club home for Christmas.”

SISU response:

"Up yours!"

yep, and there will still be people on here saying that CCC/ACL should give them the Ricoh

I was starting to lean towards letting them have it for a decent price. This is the last straw. Rent only now and paid up in advance. And I still wouldn't trust them.

They don't have a leg to stand on. They were not driven out. They removed themselves after not paying the rent. This could be the end of SISU at our club. Either that or they want to make it so expensive for ACL/CCC to keep the Ricoh that they will hand it over just to get rid of them. Sorry to say SISU but I hope you end up with a massive legal bill. And this is a bill you would have to pay.

Surely it going to court is a good thing? Will either get thrown out or investigated? If they don't have a leg to stand on it will be thrown out straight away won't it and cost sisu loads in fees? Surely a good thing for nopm?

Blimey, I'll agree with you. It's a last ditch attempt to topple ACL over. It will be seen for what it is.

ah.. the old sword of truth and shield of justice argument......

I made my judgement long ago... SISU/OTIUM are guilty.

I think some of us were just hoping that after Ann Lucas' comments yesterday Sisu would be shamed into at least talking to the council.

Now moving back seems as far away as ever.

Aren't SISU just keeping ACL/CCC on a treadmill of court actions to tie them down?

They obviously know more than we do and believe they have a case, but for fuck sake. Turn it in you total bellends. Fucking sick of it. Someone needs kicking in the face.

So in a week where ACL and the Council have made (albeit tentative) steps towards initiating/suggesting talks, you think that SISU going to court (again) "is a good thing"?

I had been getting the tiniest bit of optimism that things might be resolved, but that's now been killed.

You have to presume that that was the intention.

This is the issue. They were offered discussions to an aim of resolving this by Xmas but Sisu basically told them to do one and take them to court instead.

Is that what was said regarding the CCC statement?

The grammar police have arrived. Paraphrasing yes it was their response. How do you read it? Is there any statement about the offer for negotiations from Sisu? [I might have missed it]
But given this is a PR disaster I wouldnt be surprised to see one soon tbh.

Before your sarcastic comments I haven't seen the article on CT nor can I open so it was a genuine question, so can you give me a proper answer instead of a sarcastic one?

I'll let you off then :0).
They havent responded, to my knowledge, to any recent council statement; they have just mounted another legal case instead.

Well really this is no new news then we all knew that SISU were going to challenge the result of the last landslide regarding the JR, not good timing if you were hoping for a return to the Ricoh or if Ann Lucas gave a little passage of hope.

Seems like SISU are trying to mute the Council as much as find out if their use of public funds was unlawful.. The question is (without sounding like a conspiracy theorist) is there something else that the Council know which isn't in the public domain regarding SISU and the Arena?

Good Grief Nick I think you should take an Aspirin and go and lie down in a darkened room,I agree with you.

I dont really go with the 'gagging theory'. I think it is simply another bludgeoning blow in the war; maybe a reaction to PKH interview(?)
Mistimed and misjudged from Sisu imo- as there was a chance to open urgent discussions after recent CCC statements..

Unfortunately Joy Seppala has said that the club won't return as tenants, whether you believe that or not it's certainly what it looks like.

Maybe the gagging theory is flawed however with Ann Lucas saying she will reveal all when she can, just sounds like there is something that can come out. Of course I could be wrong.

What's the hope then with the JR, what are they hoping to achieve?

If that doesn't scare Sisu then nothing will!

Understand that even if sisu where given the Ricoh free of charge they wouldn't even say thank you.:blue:

So spending CCFC's money- money CCFC dont have on court cases is a good thing? And some accuse CCC of wasting money...really?

I can't make my mind up whether that's meant to be sarcastic or not..

That depends if the prospect of a 60 something year old woman revealing all does anything for you?!

Sorry Robbo you've lost me...?

Well you said:

I doubt SISU have received enough money from the snooker attendance and pittance of merchandise sales to fund a JR review, what I am trying to say is it's more likely that the funding for the JR review is coming from SISU themselves.
