Anyone else worried ? (3 Viewers)

I have to confess, I haven't seen the guys play much this year. Having been a season ticket holder for more years than I can recall, I decided not to go to Sixfields, but I do listen to all the games on CW and have watched a couple of games on sky. Up until last night, I was full of confidence entering every game, I thought that whilst it has to be said AFC Wimbledon deserve loads of credit for not only having done their homework, but also that, lets face it, deserved to win last night ... Murphy is the only reason they didn't ... we were truly awful.

What do we think therefore, just a one off bad game (since only one change to what many would consider is our best 11) ... which if true, its unusual that all the team, in terms of the outfield players, had an off game all together?

We couldn't string a pass together to save our lives last night, we were outclassed and fluked our way to round 2 ... i am not too fussed about the FA Cup so it wouldn't have bothered me if we had won or lost if honest, BUT my biggest concern is if we play like that next week at Bradford, they'll batter us?

Any one else worried ... or think we will get it back together before our next outing ?

My personal opinion is it was obvious we missed Fleck, it was a tricky game, defending includes goalkeeping, it was a cup tie and we won 3-1. No crisis. Nothing to worry about. 6 wins and a draw from 7 and we did string plenty of passes together. I'll worry when we lose a run of games or lose key players in January - not for winning a game 3-1.

Did you not see the second half? We were the much better team, great passing. Yes first half was very poor and Murphy kept us in it but we deserved to win overall.

As for Bradford I have no doubt in my mind that we will get a result there. I think you were being a little harsh on them team last night, we were not at our best but we certainly didn't deserve to lose.

We've been the hungriest team in most games this season and that's been our strength. We were up against a well drilled team, who were obviously up for the game. That's a new experience for our young lads and they'll be wiser for it. I thought second half we gave a much better account of ourselves and still passed well and pressed well. The goals took the stuffing out of them and after that we were in no real danger.

A good team can still pick up results when they don't play at their best. Respect once again to Steven Pressley !

if we play bad and win then that's a poor performance out the way,and nowt lost, these are the performances you learn by .this was a cup game and we all know what that means .yes missed fleck, still believe we need another forward to keep people on their toes ,.its all still a work in progress and they are doing much better than anyone could expect.

Worst we've played this season (from what I've seen). We missed Fleck. Nothing to worry about.

It's a Cup match and just watch today's results there will be shock results all over, so to get through to the next round is all that matters.

Was a pretty poor performance, but worth watching for the U-Boat Captain from Das Boot doing that dreadful deflection.

While my natural instinct is to wait for it all to fall apart, I think our start to the season suggests any poor performance is the aberration rather than the first few months being it and back to regular service. If we do go crap though I'm blaming that manager award.

it was a cup game and you cant always conclude form from a cup game, the underdogs play well above average and fancied teams have habits of assuming the game is won before a ball is kicked.

what it did prove was that this is a lucky team. lucky enough for a good cup run? lucky enough for play off winners? hopefully both, but the season is still barely up and running so i'm not banking on anything yet.

Didn't see match last night, but from reports and having viewed the goals, yes it would appear we rode our luck against lower league opposition. So no change there as far as this competition is concerned. History will confirm that past winners have had incredible luck in earlier rounds of the F(lukes) A(llowed) Cup. It goes without saying we will not be one of those "lucky" winners this season but I agree with other posters in waiting to judge last nights performance based on the next couple of league fixtures. No concern or surprise here. Hang on a minute, don't we usually go on to win the cup when the opposition "knee" one into their own net?

they just pressing well, it was a compliment to us

took us a while and we broke through

not a great performance but also not end of world either.

They all had beards by the end, mind, even the formerly clean-cut Nazi youngster.

they packed the midfield to stop us playing and full credit to them they played really well but its what you would expect being at home against a higher league team. Second half we bossed the game and yes we were fortunate for two of the goals but that's football for you.

Nobody gives Wimbledon any credit! Those guys had a game plan and stifled city and it was fitness levels at the end of the day. To press and Harrie for 90 minutes take some doing
