Murphy 10 -MOTM without a doubt. Without him, we would have been thrashed. What a save!
Christie 7 - Great return, great attacking play. Didn't see much of the defensive side cus the dugouts were in the way
Webster 4 - Defending was poor from what I saw. We gave them too much space, we were lucky we had Joe in goal
Clarke 5 - Was at fault for the goal but did well towards the end
Adams 3 - Woeful, worst I have seen him play
Baker 7 - I knew he would make a difference. I still say the 3rd goal was his
Barton 6 - Solid, but nothing special
Thomas 6 - Tried his best but again, nothing special
Moussa 5 - Kept quiet most of the game
Clarke 2 - No effort at all. In a game where we needed him to be at his best, he just didn't look interested
Wilson 7 - Great reactions for the 1st goal but should have had more
We didn't deserve the win on Friday. Wimbledon were the better team and should have buried their chances, but thanks to the keeper, we went thru. In the FA Cup, you need passion, skill, talent and a little bit of luck, and luck was on our side
Webster still seems a little dodgy to me. Considering he's the most experienced he seems to take the ball away from Murphy quite a few times. Maybe they can't understand each others accents?
Jordan C - dreadful pass for their goal and gave the ball away a few times. Much improved on last season though.
Barton - Some wonderful cross-field balls but needs too much time on the ball. I like him, but Fleck is better.
Fleck was exactly the same last season. Barton can be properly judged after a run in the side. Fleck would have found it difficult Friday too.
I agree, yes Fleck is the player at the minute. But Barton has been through a tough time injury etc., Barton needs games, but it is down to him to earn them.
I also don't think it is an either or situation.
In fairness to Barton maybe that horrific injury he suffered prior to him joining us has affected him. Seem to remember Liverpool sniffing around poised with a sizeable bid prior his injury. Let's hope that he can put it behind him and show us his true potential as he is going to be needed as the season progresses.
You give leon a two for no effort. He needs service, he's not gonna run around like a headless chicken. That's not how he plays, give him service and he'll score
He had chances to win the ball or at least put in a challenge and he just stood there. He didn't make any effort at all. Great player but can be VERY lazy
Did you see the replay of Wilson's goal from behind the goal? As Christie's cross got to the keeper, Clarke turned and put his head in his hands but Wilson followed it in and got his goal.
To me, Leon didn't look good at all. Different people have different protrayels of his performance but from where I was sitting, he didn't impress me
He's a lazy fucker no doubt, but he's scored 11 in 15. You don't argue with that.

Nope, cant argue with that, but on Friday night, Joe looked more likely to score
Agreed, he frustrates the hell out of me. But as I said, while he's scoring he's allowed. If the goals dry up...

He's scored 30 goals in 40 games -- he has the best scoring ratio of any player over that period in the country
Yet on SBT the knowledgable decide to criticise. Perhaps there is some substance to the theory regarding no atmosphere at Sixfields.

For his size, he should be a bigger aerial threat. The only large players we have are Webster and Leon, maybe Thomas, so he needs to get stuck in more. When Wilson scored, Leon turned away and put his head in his hands, while Wilson stayed alert and scored. You cant argue with his record but he is quite lazy and needs to get stuck in more in the midfield and get his head on the ballI like Leon and his Goalscoring record for us shows itself to be very good (25 games and 19 Goals), personally for the size of Leon I think he could get stuck in more, but Leon does defend from the front well, get the goals and gets himself in the right positions. For a striker you can't argue with his record since joining us, doesn't deserve stick on here either.

Maybe so but a strikers job primarily is to get goals as long as Leon and Callum keep banging them in I don't care if he looks relaxed.
Murphy 10
Barton 2 (for effort!)
Barton's game is not about tackling it's all about setting up chances for the strikers. Given more game time you will see his sharpness return and his passing game will shine. Where I live I'am surrounded by PNE fans and they all tell the same story and where very sad to see him depart.
