According to The Journal former City Midfielder Gael Bigirimana could be heading back to the Sky Blues on loan from Newcastle.

This I wouldn't mind!

Can't see that happening.....unless Newcastle are happy to continue to pay 100% of his wage !!

Maybe would be a good signing, but can't see why Pressley would want to bring him in when Fleck and Thomas are building the partnership they are.

Do you have a file with every slightly contentious comment ever made or something?

Jeez man, get a life.

Not slightly contentious just the utterly absurd. That one sits alongside the West Ham would be 10 points better off with thorn as manager gem. They just stick in your mind.

What about 3 at the back with bigi sitting in front with fleck and thomas in midfield, 3-5-2 ? Just a thought. Personally would love him back.

With that I suppose you would suggest shifting Jordan Clarke out of the team?

I would like him back just can't see how Pressley would try and fit him in.

Gael would fit seamlessly into the high workrate system if something were to happen to Thomas long term, much better fit than Barton at any rate. What may attract SP to him is that him knowing the club wouldn't upset a tight knit group, but realistically I don't see him coming in to sit on the bench a la Loza.

Thing is it was only last season Bigi was playing Europa League football with Newcastle, would be a huge coup if he came back on loan here.

Would be pointless bringing him in and paying him to sit on the bench ... other areas need strengthening first .... thomas and fleck are playing well and look like a really solid partnership :)

True - he also made 13 PL appearances last year but this season hasn't featured once which you would assume to mean that he hasn't kicked on in the fashion that Newcastle would have hoped. Perhaps Kinnear doesn't rate him..

Maybe it's because Bigi isn't French?

The only natural width we have comes from the wingers, switching to a 3-5-2 would be suicidle.

Id like to see bigi back of course but only if he was cover for fleck/thomas, I doubt he would come if that was the case though.

He came through the academy with Thomas, Wilson, Christie etc so I doubt he would upset the applecart.

we don't need him and defence needs sorting first. I think this is a given surely.

Many of times I watched Bigi under Thorn's era, and many of times he played like utter gash, my opinion won't change of him, he's not that good, let's move on!

its a long ass season, people really think we will make it all season with 2 central midfielders playing every game?

i like barton but 4 quality CM will be great for us, i hope this happens.

Maybe you two could get a life together

Or if not you could stick it up there from a well respected business man 'contracts are there to be broken'

I agree, I couldn't and still cant work out his best position, he had no influence in games and was just playing an opta stats ray Wilkins passing game. I wouldn't have him back hes yesterdays man

He would have progressed far better under Pressley. Remember, he had to start his career with a clueless fat twat doing the "training" and the ahem "tactics"

Bigi wouldn't get in the side at the moment, and not sure why people are suggesting changing the system to fit him, why would you want to change a system that's worked so well this season?

Sounds like a bad idea, baker and moussa wingbacks?? Christie and Adams centre backs. If anything it weakens and already leaky defence, and removes our potent attacking fullbacks .

Hmmm yeh...when he played for us when he was 17 in a shite team is a good way to judge him..England u20s clearly see something in him and you don't get 13 games and a goal in your first premier league season by luck.

Even at his age, he'd add a bit of experience we need. He did play a fair amount of games for Newcastle last season, albeit mostly in the Europa league.

That said, I don't think experience in Midfield is necessarily what we need,

Would welcome him back if it happened though (although as with everything CCFC related, it's a big If)

Spot on! He had one (just the one) blinder - the game he got sent off in, can't remember opposition. Any other game he was just a "filler". "Apprentice of the year", he was awarded I recall. There must be a few Brickies, plumbers and hairdressers out there feeling more than a little hard done by.
