Nick, I find it very sad that so many who 'post' threads on this site are so entrenched in their views ( particularly the 'anti-owner' contingent ).

Everyone should remember that three or four parties are involved in the debacle and are probably ALL equally to blame?

I have never ever attacked any individual on this site, despite believing that many are so 'narrow minded', have an obsession about the owners of the club and lack basic understanding of football club ownership / investment.

Both ACL & Coventry City Council have a lot to answer for equally as do the owners, I don't want to keep going back and apportioning blame as we need to look forward.

If that is a means to an end and we have to play in Northampton for 3 to 5 years, so be it although of course I'd prefer we played in Coventry ( although not necessarily at the Ricoh )!

As many have said previously including Ray Ranson, Paul Fletcher & Geoffrey Robinson if either the Club or it's owners don't own it's own stadium with access to all revenue streams then CCFC won't exist in 5 years time FACT!

Anyway I personally prefer to focus on the football, Steven & our young emerging team. PUSB!

I agree with you about the revenues but can you please explain why the club needs to own the freehold - please?

I agree all parties have to take some blame but ending every thread telling people to go to sixfields is just as annoying as the people who try to tell people but to.

Makes no sense , you can not loose 90% of your customers as a means to an end

If you believe more than one party is to blame, why in all your posts do you only blame one?

Was that statement meant to read?

Well you've lumped Joy in with that statement
Joy Seppala in the Les Reid Interview said:
“I shepherd other people’s money. I don’t have the desire to run a football club, I don’t know anything about football.

Sorry I'm not privileged to the 'detail' of any negotiations or exactly what our owners actually want and have never ever mentioned 'freehold'!

I'm desperately trying to look at the 'long-term', our owners will move-on when they get a return on their investment but my Club will hopefully still be here when they've gone, the same applies to both Managers & Players but I will still be supporting Coventry City Football Club, just as I've done for more years than I care to remember.

RFC you keep going on about supporting the team and protesting to supporters on here about not going to sixfields

so i assume you will be asking the same of our owners and ask them to support SP and the team by bringing them home to the Ricoh under the rent deal that has now come to light which offer a far better financial set up than keeping SP and the team hostage in Northampton.

it is hard to deny that this will give them the best possible chance with FFP and if you were at MK on Saturday i'm sure you would of noticed how the team responded while playing to 7000 fans.

clearly the return to the ricoh is best for SP and the team, its fans, its city, otium and SB sorts & leisure. the only people that don't stand to gain is clearly sh1tsu's investors and unlike joy, i don't give a fuck about them.

if you really believe in what you say about doing the best by SP and the team tell shitsu so at the crewe game.

mean if not the freehold?

Sorry Nick I'm not telling people to go to Sixfields, it's their choice.

What I'm continually suggesting is that those who don't are the ones who are missing out!

any comment on my post or is it just the fans that are supposed to support the club and not the owners?

Well they're missing out on going to Northampton, that's inarguable...

Nice theatre there, they could ll go and see Fish live?

Is there a future with SISU or do you dream of the day they are gone

Clubs do not need to own the freehold of their ground. WE do cos our owners have lost so much flippin money they need something to sell to get some back.

But that doesn't benefit our club, just our owners.

I'd like to know the rationale behind the freehold, and it#'s an obvious question to ask...

The value's not there, either in income... or price to buy it, for that matter.

It's all about control.

So the question needs to be if it's control for passive or reactionary reasons, what that control gains us as a club, or alternatively what that control gains SISU.

Control to knock over ACL at a discount, then Freehold assumes the full value.

Own it, they could have from day one.
But have never made an offer.
It is their negotiating tactics that have eroded confidence.
Worst owners any football club has had ever.
However I have said if they bought the Ricoh at a fair price I would attend matches and hope they could move the club forward....how is that entrenched?
ACL CCC have made revised offers publicly...how is that entrenched?
There is only one party entrenched in this saga...research their history...not the first time.

Maybe as supporters we should start hoping SISU get hold of the Ricoh asap. That way the club would be an attractive proposition to new owners and we might finally get rid of them.

AND GET WHAT?

Think beyond the end of your nose. Who will want to buy what Sisu offer? Who will own the stadium? What will our debt be?

It's thinking like that that got Sisu in in the first place.

Can we just add 'No more picking on RFC, because he gets upset' to the rules and etiquette and be done with it?

The point I'm making is that it certainly seems SISU won't be going anywhere until they get the RICOH. SISU don't want our club. They want to get rid but have nothing to sell. CCFC owning the Ricoh and all it brings would be a viable proposition for a prospective owner, but whether SISU would sell the stadium is another matter. No owner would want SISU as a landlord of course, so then we'd be back to square one.

Let's just stop adding to this thread until RFC answers this fair question, politely asked. It kills the balance of his argument.

Over to you, RFC.......
