No thanks !!!
The current nopm plan is working fine !!!!
Sisu are in disarray which Im sure your disappointed with but that's the way it goes !!!

Are you an idiot?

1. NOPM is certainly not working. Or have I missed Sisu accepting the deal to move back to the Ricoh.

2. Grendel, for all his faults, has been a supporter of NOPM from the start and has not been to Sixfields despite having been a season ticket holder before.

Thanks Grendels dad.
Is he now tucked up?

And just because people want to be closed minded and follow like sheep doesn't make them right.

you cant say NOPM isn't working any more than i can say it is, truth is we wont know until its either too late or everything has worked out for the best.

one thing you can say with certainty though, is that going to sixfields definitely not helping.

Honestly. Is that the best you can do? Just sick of people spouting complete bollocks because it supports their idea.

Are you talking about your own posts?

Fair point on your first point.

I agree that anything we do we should be united whatever our difference of opinions. So if it is carry on with NOPM so be it. My opinion is Sisu are too stubborn to cave in so Grendels idea of applying pressure elsewhere is worth considering. This is on the assumption people want CCFC back rather than just be part of the 'in crowd'.

ACL fans keep their heads down and hope this post gets ignored.....
Ignoring post? Like how you have conviently ignored mine to your response re matchday costs as you dont have a sensible reply.
I am not an ACL fan, I am not privy to financial dealings so as far as I'm concerned all parties all have to carry some of the blame going right back to the decision to leave highfield rd.
All I want to do is watch my club Coventry City play in Coventry not a different town/county.

Of course you can produce evidence that NOPM is not working I presume.?

Interested how my statement about nobody turning up for Grendel's idea gets turned into the same old, same old.

Some people need to read the words on the page rather than get into the same rickety high horse circles.

Anyway, most people don;t go to Northampton because of NOPM, that was my point, that active campaigning wouldn't get sufficient bodies there to make it worthwhile as the major reason why gates are down is the sheer impracitcality of it all.

What that has to do with NOPM, god knows... but no, NOPM isn't working, as since it began SISU have dug in harder, and become even more inflexible with their demands.

How about a different idea

We the tax payers campaign the council not to sell the Ricoh to SISU if they don't accept a free rent deal in the short term. Whilst they build their new stadium or negotiate the deal to buy the Ricoh.

However if SISU return to the Ricoh under the incredibly generous offer made by ACL.

Then we push the council to get an independent value and we push SISU to offer it.

If the people of Coventry campaign against SISU purchasing the Ricoh.

Seeing as this is their one and only genuine plan then they would have to return.

It'd also be worth petitioning the council to identify sites within Coventry they'd be prepared to sell, sites that could hold a football stadium...

Call their bluff, either everybody's happy and we end up with two leisure facilities (given the Ricoh don't need CCFC apparently) or it pushes closer to a conclusion one way or another.

How would that benefit the club? Make them permanently homeless? Good one.

on which point and why?

On the whole point and because you can't.

Really, what's the point of excplaining the alternative positions (again) when you won't listen anyway? Why shouyld I waste my time to do so, so it can be blithely ignored because it doesn't tally with what you want?

hows that going to work? there is already a perfectly good identified sight in Coventry, it even has the bonus of having a stadium already built. problem is our owners don't seem to understand how the purchasing process works.

It'll work by calling their bluff, and either everybody's happy and we end up with two leisure facilities (given the Ricoh don't need CCFC apparently) or it pushes closer to a conclusion one way or another.

Well you must have put some thought into that
So please explain how that idea makes us permanently homeless

Well if Sisu won't rent and we make CCC not sell to Sisu, we have no stadium and no way back. This means they would have to build a stadium outside Coventry. Didn't think we wanted that?

Oh and sorry the benefit would be being back in the Ricoh whilst they negotiate the deal to buy it.

Which I assume you can't fathom out how that is a benefit.

Which won't happen for 2-3 years with their current plan A of keeping the Ricoh empty for as long as possible to get it cheap
