I don't think the council originally planned to put money into a stadium.
CCFC had it all in their control. Unfortunately they sold Highfield Road, got relegated and fell into financial freefall.
The council stepped in to help us out. They took all the risk and maybe the rent reflected that risk.

Regular escorts of fans from town ino the stadium. Suddenly to the non football fans in the community we become a nuisance and the community in turn will pressurise their council and club to end the deal. In turn this would make ground share in other towns difficult.

It's high risk but something has to be done. Other strategies are failing. Noisy protests could also continue in the ground itself.

Back on planet earth this will of course not happen but if it had from the start and it proved legistucally impossible to hold the games with general disturbance issues it may have had a more positive effect than the doomed NOPM campaign.

So if I get this right

The suggestion is we flood Northampton with our custom.

Use their pubs shops trains buses etc
Bringing money into their economy.

We also give SISU more money, potentially assisting them in staying away longer. Never mind the moral ground they will take, saying look the Coventry fans agree with our stance they are attending in numbers.

Then the people of Northampton get annoyed that things are too busy. They complain to their council.

Who will forget about the extra income been brought into the local economy and will ask the Northampton Chairman to get rid of us.
