At best it’s an absurdly heavy-handed reaction to a minor irritation, borrowing Thor’s hammer to fragment a pistachio.

And, whatever satisfaction Sisu and their lawyers might derive from the fact that the offending link was duly removed, it represents another catastrophic PR own-goal from people who have refined that habit into a self-destructive art.

This stands out. If they'd let the article sit there and be read/linked/pasted/hoop-de-dood, we'd pretty much have forgotten about it by now as it's not the first time we've read anything with that stance.

By getting the sherpas out for this molehill they've just exacerbated it immensely. They should divert a few quid from the lawyer fund to a good PR person. Not even a good one, an incompetent PR person could look at their actions and think 'you've got to be kidding'

Unless they've had the reaction they expected.

You'd have to ask why they looked for that response?

To further marginalise the SBT and fragment the fanbase.

Same tactic they used from day one. They only recognise "fans groups" they set up and hand pick (GCBTTR, SCG, Garlick's Bunch)

Sisu: defined by their crippled morality - and we wonder why our once proud club limps towards oblivion.

:-(

Great common sense, straightforward, plain speaking article with no apparent agendas by Alan Poole.
Can someone show it to Les Reid.

Good article from the CET for once. SISU could draw more interest than they desire from journalistic circles if they are not careful. Not a profession that likes to be told what to do.....how long before Joy gets her face in a paper especially with the JR coming up.

Henry Winter in The Daily Telegraph was definitely interested in this as well, Sisu going after a fans group for really nothing was a disgrace and a blunder.. they clearly as predicted are in 'legal mode', not sure that always brings the desired result....

Machiavelli identifies a similar application to military strategy, advising in Book VI of The Art of War[3] (Dell'arte della guerra),[4] that a Captain should endeavor with every art to divide the forces of the enemy, either by making him suspicious of his men in whom he trusted, or by giving him cause that he has to separate his forces, and, because of this, become weaker.

I wonder if Joy's read his works?

Well done Alan Poole, we at last have a backbone at the CT, a very good article and look forward to understanding your reference to last Friday. Thanks also to Alun T for sanctioning the article, Mr Reid, you could learn a lot from AP and not TF/ML and your best friend Sisued Seppala

do you remember when the planes crashed into the twin towers and a labour minister sent a memo saying this would be a good day to bury bad news, knowing that it wouldn't make the news given what had just happened that day?

is it possible that this is a smoke screen to hide a bigger story?

damn i hate sisu, if for nothing else for making me paranoid. i'm double guessing anything and everything with the smallest hint of having anything to do with CCFC & sisu.

Sorry to be picky, but it wasn't a minister it was a political advisor. Afraid I can't remember her name.

Just read it & I don't think, scrolling through responses, that I could put my thought any better this this. Even before the odd shandy...or more. Well said that man(?)
