You should have either agreed or disagreed with the facts as I presented them; which I recall you didn't do - probably as it didn't suit your cause, or you were simply incapable. To not do so, and then come back sneering some months later seems a bit cheap if you don't mind me commenting so.

Cheap; but not surprising....

Didn't I read somewhere that in our relegation season the wage bill was £11 million?

Not according to the interview with Deluded Ken. Again, as linked last time I presented the case for discussion

And even if it was true all our problems and reason for being so much in debt would have been the 1.2m rent.

Now poor Grenduffy is in a pickle. He either admits I'm right and our wages were amongst the lowest in the league, or they were high and the insignificance of the rent is highlighted.

I wonder which sword he'll fall on?

The sword of silence, name calling or waffling so nobody can make out his point :D

I'm sure the prospect of getting to fall on anybody's sword is getting him all wound up as we speak

Indeed. Either ACL's rent was not as exorbitant as other costs and they're not the villains he suggests, or Thorn's managerial genius was curtailed by SISU leaving him hamstrung with cash. ACL or Thorn? Who will he support? I bet it's ruining his Subway...

What about the point you've made about SISU failing to control spending other than rent? So as to demonstrate that rent really wasn't that big a deal.

That's bollocks. I posted a league table with wages - where available, next to each club, and links to sites such as this:

My assertion at the time, and which I stick to now is that we were funded in the bottom three of the division. Agree, or disagree, and why?

I disagree, because we were not in the bottom three of wages.

You also said that we had the lowest wages in the division.

You're not going to make me bring up the thread where I proved your grasp of the truth is rather tenuous again are you?

It wouldn't have been as much a big deal if we had players worth the money being paid. We ended up with Eastwood amongst others. We would have been winning more games. We might even have been going for promotion. This is why I don't understand the high rent being blamed for all of our problems. They must have paid about 6m in rent but say we are 70m in debt :thinking about:

Why do you still insist on using CET articles as some sort of proof? With Orange Ken as the arbiter no less.

The figures are out there now for that season, was around £10.8million.

So how did 1.2m rent force us to go to Northampton then?

It didn't - its punitive restrictions on revenue means the club would never succeed so it had to go.

He actually believes this !!
Blindly following. No plans from Sisue, just talk and rhetoric. You are certainly this boards number 1 fool and Sisues number 1 fan.

PS You still have not answered the questions.

SISU also told us in September they had agreed terms on land for a new stadium. Any updates or progress on this?

So if ACL gave them all the pie money, but still charged them £1.2m rent, they would have stayed? Its all about the burgers is it Elvis?

lets assume that is 100% fact. can you explain why sisu wouldn't agree the latest rent offer that was offered through the FL?

just to be clear i'm not suggesting one way or the other that you are for or against them accepting it, i just thought your take on why they haven't or presumably won't accept it might be interesting.

If they are serious about building a new ground (which I'm yet to be convinced of) then for me personally I think it'd be a good thing for us. I've never taken the the Ricoh; it's far too big and looks no different from any other football ground build in the last 10 - 15 years. A ground holding around about 20,000 is plenty enough for us at this present moment and would make for a far better atmosphere around the place when only 10,000 turn up on a Tuesday night. Just build it with the scope to expand if the unthinkable happens and at some point we manage to get promoted back to the Premier League.

We have had the opportunity in the past to be a part owner of our SMC (which is ACL) but we sold our share to the Higgs Charity. The club had the option to buy the share back at anytime from the charity, at a price based on an agreed formula. That would have given the club two seats on the board, 33 or 40% of the votes (depending on number of independent directors) and the chance to obtain the matchday pie money / see the ACL accounts etc. The club could have done this as I understand it at any point (before the boycott) and the charity were willing to sell to the club. SISU have been owners for 6 years and in over half of that time they never entered into negotiations with the charity. Instead of serious negotiations with anyone they went on the rent boycott then talked to the Higgs about the share.

Now I don't know about how deals are done in the City of London but I don't think it's normal practice to annoy the people who own the thing you want to buy in other parts of the UK. PWKH said that the option to buy was subject to the club not owing ACL anything at the time so the rent boycott versus negotiations doesn't look too clever. Having agreed HOT with the charity they then walked away and whilst they agreed to reimburse the Higgs for their incurred costs, as far as I know have yet to do so. If that's doing business in good faith then it's not the same sort of business we do at my work which is also done in good faith. They rejected all the improved rent offers made to them some of which may have contained access to the pie money. Then having had Tim say we've moved on (to Northampton) and then Joy and Mark subsequently repeating this, they launch a judicial review against the other shareholder in ACL.

If any of their actions listed above were designed to get us the pie money then they've got to have very long odds of succeeding and I think my lottery ticket stands a better chance of winning the jackpot this Saturday.

I'm hearing whispers about talks on Baginton being a serious contender for the site.

Apparently some talks have been held between relevant parties at a hotel just outside Leamington,at an early stage though.

Having the kibosh pretty much put on the Gateway Project does make it half-plausible, and of course(mostly) under WCC control rather than CCC.

Though think that CCC own the land that the airport is leased off, so unlikely from that aspect in my opinion.

Travel wise only about 15mins by taxi so not too much extra but wouldn't go past HR or up Sky Blue Way so that would be a negative aspect. Not looked at buses yet.

Still unsure as to what benefit our club (not Sisu Capital Partners their funds or any associated businesses) would get from owning the stadium as well as the ACL lease and the associated revenues, as opposed to just owning the ACL lease and the associated revenues from that.

A property they would own so they could release equity from our club by remortgaging?

We probably were, mainly because we had one of the bottom 3-4 turnovers in the league. The admin report said our turnover income/turnover in 2011/12 was £10.27m (15,116 fans), which puts us 4th worst on the championship for that season.

I find it easier to understand that bloke doing the sign language at mandellas memoral than the goings on with the skyblues, the one thing for sure is that no one other than the fans and some playing staff give a flying f +++ about the club since the first mumerings of sellng h/r,

The freehold though is unlikely (given the comments Tim made about the new stadium arrangements) to be owned by the club and thus debt is going to be owed to someone which hasn't benefited the club so far.

Well it is in Warwickshire so I don't believe there are many Buses. I live in Finham and our bus service is dire. as for access they are doing up the A45 at kamikaze island this will take a couple of years until they are finished. I could walk it in 20 minutes but not in Cov so still won't go.

Just don't know why people don't actually quote figures from the accounts!

OSB does a very useful job for everybody posting and dissecting them, then everybody ignores them.

Profit & Loss Account
- Turnover specific to CCFC down from 12.1m to 10.8m. Ticket sales was 3.5m (2011 3.9m) Commercial income 7.3m (2011 8.2m)
- staff costs were down from £11.2 to 9.9m in 2012
