Isn't it time we formed a new team?

Only worry is the Ricoh big enough for the fan base its bound to attract?

No, it's ccfc or nothing for me.

Disappointed, Mr Tickle. Grendel reeled you in far too easily. Always read the original post (twice, if it's Grendel), then ask yourself if it's serious or not - three times, if it's Grendel ('cos I think this one may have cropped up before on the odd occasion!)

Presumably you will be the manager, name your first 11, you can have past and present players (not sure about present), then we can say whether the Ricoh will be full.

Good idea, I have got a better one though.

I think we should invite Joy and crew back to Coventry and give them the keys to the city. Then we could give them the Ricoh and surrounding land for free along with an interest free advance for 100 million pounds.

Then all of the fans (starting with Grendel) could give their houses to them (for free of course) so they had something to fall back on in case things didn't go well. Then after that we could invite them all to watch while we burned down the council houses (with all the councillors in of course) except for Anne Lucas, who we could offer to Joy for public sacrifice after which who's head could be put on the city gates as a warning to anyone else who tried to resist SISU. Let's face it after the way they have taken care of our football team they deserve it don't they?

So - what do you think?

You're slipping old chap,a little more imagination would have lead us to Coventry Apathetic.

I use that to try and add a little depth to this jocular thread.

For Instance its been said that the teams exit from the City will have Economic Impacts.

So I'm curious to know exactly what all of us have been doing to replace the fortnightly Sky blue fix .

Personally up to know I've taken In 5 matches at the Butts ,and done 3 away games .

I would say that my spend In the Ctiy Is actually higher than taking in a match at the Ricoh ,which involved a drive to the Foleshill rd and a

couple to three pints in total before and after the game + £3 parking .When I go away It tends to be me or one of My brothers Driving so we

fuel up in Coventry so around £30 a trip for the midlands matches up to now.

The Rugby ,well I have to say I spend physically on the day £20 taxi there and back 4-5 pints at the game and afterwards ,usually leaving

around 7.30- 8.00 and rather than going home like I would after the Ricoh, tend to go for 2-3 more pints around the Earlsdon area Finishing

off with a Curry . So for me Its much more of a day and night out and I would say I spend around £70 inclusive of entry.

You're right Grendel, let's just wait until 2023 when SISU build a 12,000 seater stadium 'near to' Coventry.

Much better than growing some balls, being a man, and taking our club back.

Starting a new club isn't taking it back.... It's like somebody stealing my car and me buying a new one.

Surely the council would be a parasite on that club too Grendel and Coventry Athletic would be reduced to Coventry Asthmatic?

Well all I'm doing is what you do. Talk about starting a new club on an Internet site

More like someone stealing your car but they let you drive it over at their place only. You accept that and do nothing about it.

To those hostile to this idea, can I just ask, what do they physically define as the club?

Would never ever support any team other than Coventry City FC whoever owns the club or wherever they play (always assuming & believing, they'll be back in Coventry), although must say I don't think it'll be at the Ricoh.

Any proof or an opinion spouted as fact?

Coventry City 2-2 Crewe Alexandra

ATTN: 1618

I've highlighted the important bit.
