Hopefully it will be a player which will add some quality to the squad and a tiny bit more depth hopefully it's a goalscorer

Also let's hope gary's injury is only a short one but it is only a thigh strain so fingers crossed.

Thorn said in forum that keogh is a cb, so that only leaves clarke and Christie at rb, so we defo need a loanere there

He isn't though, is he? He played around 35 games at RB last season and the entire 18 months previously at Carlisle as a RB.
Keogh, Clarke, Christie, Cranie, Phillips..plenty of cover there. So...are we awash with right-backs? If AT scouted him as a CB it was probably in his Bristol City days, when he was pants. Converting to RB is what made him as a player!

Oh yeah, I know..just think that when it comes down to it we'd be silly to go and sign a RB on loan when there is a huge hole up front and we could do with another (ball-winning) CM. Especailly if you consider we have McPake, Cranie, Wood, Cameron and hopefully Turner for the CB positions. It's the first time I've disagreed with AT's judgement, but I do on this one quite vehemently.

That said..it's just gossip that we're after a RB. Probably not true.

If we can get any more players ATM it would be a godsend! The squad is far too thin to make it to Xmas in good order.

Im not keen on AT comments about OD and Eastwood, these pair will not get the total number of goals King got last season, in fact i would put money on OD not even getting 1 in the championship. Im afraid OD is league 1 at best and Eastwood just doesnt have the heart to play, he has all the ability but plays like he has too, more than he wants too,,, makes a big difference.

I also see Sisu said they are willing to put in aslong as we are good on and off the field, well league 1 and admin here we come because this squad is not strong enough or these owners dont have the backing or the heart to keep wasting money...

I do see why we would be looking at a right back as it does make sense that we do need cover in that area. However, in terms of priority a defensive player is not top on the list in my opinion. We need a striker! Roy and Freddie aren't going to get us enough goals that we will need and Juke however much potential and effort he puts in needs some help up there, some experience and quality.

Keogh did start his career at Carlisle as a CB I think. It was only through injuries that he moved to RB. The fact that he stayed there amd won player of the season suggests to me that he's better there than in the middle, but it's not like he's never played at CB before.

I dont mind aslong as we bring bodies in. Otherwise with even a couple of injuries, we're in the shit!

Do agree we should be concentrating on our attacking play and improving there! Althgough, maybe after seeing the 2 goals we conceded against Chesterfield, AT believes we need atleast one more defender, which I would agree with, but second to a striker / attack minded midfielder.

The right back makes sense.

AT sees Keogh as a centre back meaning we have just Clarke and Christie, Clarke is injured.

with Crainie and Turner injured it leaves just Keogh, McPake, Wood and Cameron as our CB's, and Mcpakes fitness record is hardly endorsing, and he is working his way back from injury.

If Crainie isnt fit for the start of the season I expect it to be Keogh and Wood at CB, hopefully with the spanish guy at RB

Right back is not the priority.

Regardless of whether AT sees Keogh as a CB or not, the fact is he played most of last season there and is more than capable of playing there. While Clarke, cranie and Turner are injured Keogh can play RB with Wood and McPake CB.

But is Mcpake going to be fully fit for the Leicester game? Is it worth risking him if he's not?

Dont get me wrong I would love to see a striker come in, but I can understand this decision

But we also have Cameron as well, and I don't think Cranie's injury is particularly serious.

I'd rather see a striker or CM come in, and if we were looking for any defender it should be a left back IMO.

I think we're ok for Centre Mid.

------------Clingan---------------

Bell--------------------Baker/Thomas

--------McSheffrey------------

is how I imagine we will line up, then the odd one out of Baker and Thomas on the bench, with Gael and Ruffles as back up until Deegs is back (if he ever is).

Agree a left back could also be sorted, but i guess with our finances we're going for a RB as the first choice RB (Clarke) is injured where as Hussey is fit
