"Common sense" and "people talking shit" are a matter of opinion, not objective concepts. I'm disgusted at your decision to start censoring peoples opinions about the football club, it's utterly fascistic IMO. I'm a moderator on a forum and if a subject gets taken off-topic, then I might go as far as saying so, but not edit or remove content unless it is down right offensive or insulting. As far as the "topic" of this forum goes, well it's Coventry City Football Club, and as such any post related to Coventry City Football Club is on topic.

I think what this decision really comes down to is you finding peoples views unpalatable. It's "ruining" it for you because you don't want to hear it. A lot of people are very, very pissed off: they feel that their football club has been stolen from them. They post on here sometimes as a way of articulating their rage-it's healthier than bottling it up! Sure, by all means politely inform people for taking a matter totally off topic (not in the grumbly, biased sounding fashion that you moan about it), but if it's a match thread about a game in Northampton in front of a stunningly low crowd, that is going to be something that features in peoples thoughts. Absolutely anything that relates to how the club has been run by SISU-and most matters are linked in some way-is going to mean that comes up, isn't it? To try and censor people in the manner that you suggest is akin to trying to pretend that those matters are irrelevant when they are not.

As someone who attends games at Sixfields, you'll appreciate that you're seen as biased to one side in the boycott debate. A light touch rather than "borrowing Thor's hammer to crush a pistachio" would be more appropriate, otherwise you'll start to look like SISU.

BTW if it's a dick-waving contest, I've given SISU not a solitary penny this season, so you won't beat me on that score :)

I'm not censoring anything, people are entitled to their opinion and there is only so many times that you can give them a little nudge to say keep it on topic.

If I was only censoring something I didn't agree with then why was the last few things I personally moderated things they weren't really things I disagreed with. I wouldn't delete or edit anybody's posts I would just lock the thread, it's how it works on pretty much other forum.

The point I am making is that a few people on here may as well copy and paste their posts and set then to auto post in every thread on a match day when we don't win. Some are nowhere to be seen when we win or get a good result.

Sometimes matters are irrelevant, if a Thread is discussing something completely unrelated to SISU, let's say Jordan Clarke's cat has just had his boosters for example. Then somebody will ALWAYS try to find a way to bring it around to SISU, just like the nice thread where the fella found a plate in his kitchen. If it was a thread related to it then go for it.

I haven't given sisu a penny either so we are equal on the dick front ;)

But you're not talking about things that are completely irrelevant. If it's even a grey area where it's irrelevant, then you shouldn't be dictatorial about it, let people have their say. Most threads encompass trains of thought that go way off topic as far as the thread title is concerned, and what you're talking about mostly here is "bringing up SISU". I'm saying that in many cases, that is totally legitimate and related to the thread. And yes, it is as often people on the other side bringing up such matters: so be it.

And I thought you'd been to Sixfields? That's giving SISU money, isn't it? Or am I falling for one of your "playing it dumb" traps by even replying to that?

If it is totally related to the thread then there is no issue, but when the thread is about our new loan signing I don't see why it should come back round to somebody posting "I won't go to Sixfields" in the thread, what's that got to do with the topic of the thread?

People like to assume things and then run with it.

The only valid form of censorship is the right for people not to listen.

Nick there are lots of posts and threads that annoy me, but in amongst all the rubbish, people still make valid points on both sides. Also at times people are too sensitive on both sides.

Your right but we have no influence on what goes on on the pitch.
People make mistakes ffs we all do, can't see why we need a scapegoat all the time after all the ball has got past 11 players to end up in the net ,not just one.
As for people gloating wasn't that what certain posters were doing while we were on the good run? Tit for tat

Because it's every thread about how people are glad they aren't there, so much for the fortress etc etc where as if we had won there wouldn't be a peep out of most people who go on about it.

Read the thread about how it's driving decent members away with same people posting same crap.

We could have won it today but it was the playing suicide balls dropped us in again, the biggest threat we had was putting it on Wilson, he went through pretty everytime.

I don't like sixfields, but it was bad individual mistakes that let us down today..again

Shameful ! How to kill a Forum............... when the moderator has obvious sympathies with the very scum that have killed the club and seeks to gag posters who continue to express their disgust at the situation. Same thing happened on GMK to an extent with their pro SISU moderators and its a fucking graveyard now compared to what it used to be !
RIP SBT !

And James Smith is a moderator who's an anti SISU as you can get. So, what's the point?

He is a moderator who is one of 10% of people who attend Sixfields.
I don't really know him but I would gauge he is nearer to Sisu than ACL/CCC. He is very protective and gets involved with any comments against Sisu and critical of any comments for ACL/CCC.
I can't be bothered to check but I don't think he has picked up on Grendel and his 100% pro Sisu bigoted stance. I say this because if I persist with Grendel he always steps in.
He runs a good board and I enjoy dropping onto it for the banter.
Just my opinion whilst having my say on this board.

It's totally obvious what sisu try and do on these boards. 1+1…??? we can see straight through you and you sisu drivel
You are blindingly obvious, you are not impartial and you are not a supporter. You have merely spent a lot of time shooting the same spin that has been spouted by Fisher. Hedge funds do not belong in football, pack up your stuff.................again and be gone !
We've all read your posts for weeks they are so thinly disguised its laughable !
If you follow… threads from the start , and look when he/she started posting... the picture is very clear
No, you sir are a Johnny come lately, with an agenda..
The question I'd ask is will any of these posters continue to post once SISU are gone.

Only 2 of them are regular posters here & on GMK from some years ago, as for the rest I doubt it.. I very much doubt it.
Sorry OP but If you havnt recognised there are certain posters who show traits of vested interests on the boards and youve just posted someone elses strategy

Just saying...

Anyway, I sodded off from GMK for a while because of the racist, misogynistic attitudes of certain posters...

I'd rather be a prize fucking turncoat twat than a racist.

And you, words fail me ! Spent all summer lambasting the evil axis that is the council and defending the hedge fund. I'd rather be an idiot than a prize fucking turncoat twat !

I have to say although the crowd was small yesterday the kids didn't care. They had a great time (mine included). There are a lot of families at Sixfields. I think the Dads (like me) are just keeping the flame of support alight in their kids. There's nothing wrong with that.
