Wallow in self pity? I was planning to sit in a nice warm house and eat a medium rare fillet steak and a glass of wine with my wife by the light of the twinkleing Christmas tree and then watch Star Trek into Darkness. You on the other hand are going to spend 90 minutes in the car and 2 hours in a freezing cold, empty soulless stadium. If I'm pitying anyone it won't be myself.

The best one yet, do you pity other fans who attend games following their club, did you pity yourself when you sat in the Ricoh on a cold November night with about 7000 other diehards in an empty soulless Ricoh?

I personally wish for a 100% boycott. However I don't agree with using that kind of terminology which can only cause more friction. You're unlikely convince people by insulting them you'll probably only make them more entrenched in their view.

He brought up pity not me (and I didn't say I'd be pitying anyone, I certainly wont be), but no if I think a game will not be enjoyable and the atmosphere and temperature are taken into account then I don't go. There is a reason crowds are lower for midweek games in the cold when you have to travel a significant distance, they arn't very appealing. 7 times more people at a venue 10 mins away hardly compares to 1k people when you are spending probably an hour and a half + in the car overall.
