Any proof they want a stadium for free or just making things up? This isn't me defending, it is questioning your statements.

Explain why they want a Judicial Review to me Nick. I don't think you will without conceding they want a free stadium.

If anything the council bailout gave ACL the financial security to offer a lower rent deal.

Why, there are 10,000 people sat at home on a Saturday wondering what to do!

Well I have been down to see Cov United once this season and I am shocked I wasn't there with 9999 others personally.

Robbo. They aren't a breakaway club. They aren't a solution to our problem, which is that vultures own our club. Fan ownership IS a solution.

Also guys - i must say that SISU disgust me from an ethical point of view. This gives me extra reason to want to whip the carpet from underneath them.

Some agree and some don't. The perfect solution is for SISU to sell to someone with morals who cares about football.

Fan Ownership would be an excellent solution but that's just my point, let's say Sisu get the Ricoh Arena irrespective of how, do you really think that the SBT the Supporters Members Group that has by far the biggest Members base is going to be considered by Sisu to allow a % of control over the Club?

I am afraid only if new owners were found would they be allowed a % in CCFC. The Trust couldn't possibly buy the Club.

They could form a breakaway Club, sure but what's the point in having the name the Sky Blues Trust if your no longer supportive of the Sky Blues?

What guarantees is there that Joe Bloggs who comes in next is going to be better than Sisu?

Perhaps not free, but certainly well under market value. That's where there profit is, add a football team into the mix and bobs your uncle !!

Ridiculous statement.

Is it not just as ridiclous then to imply that 10,000 of the 10,000 stay away fans would support another Club that was fan owned and not CCFC?

I would put my house on it!!!

In this day and age with Football Club ownership especially in this country you'd be off your head to do that.

Surely a more prevelent question would be any proof SISU want the stadium at market price? No meaningfull offer, just disrespectful statements like "if she wants to sell, she should get on a train down to London so we can discuss"...

Beyond NOPM how is it proposed that we kick SISU in the nuts? I give nothing at all to CCFC at present, what else should I do? It does seem that SISU are self financing and the lack of income from the club is not affecting them.

Who knows what effect it is having Rich? They aren't going to admit if it has. A while ago they had put the Ricoh behind them. Now, Joy has had a couple of meetings with Anne...freehold or nothing. Keep the pressure up, they may agree a rent deal, as I can't see the council giving up the freehold - likewise, can't see a new ground being built.

I totally agree, of course they want it for as cheap as they can possibly get it.

Absolutely it is equally rediculous but to my mind the two assertions were not mutually exclusive. People want a club to call their own that they have an ifinity with, in the absense of CCFC for many people, a breakaway is the answer - same colours, plenty of nods to CCFC heritage.

I think what the other chap is saying is there are 10,000 disinfranchised supports that would potentialy sign up to this, in reality and I am sure he is aware, this would probably translate from 1,000 - 5,000 on match days. Still a good starting point.

The thing is Sisu are a hedgefund, Sisu's business ethics are to purchase distressed assets on the cheap, why is this surprising?

Can you quote anybody worse ? Ever ?

Vincent Tan or Assem Allam, changing your identity, ripping the soul and heritage out of the club just for the sake of more money, might as well sell the soul of the club to the devil.

Absolutely and maybe it would work, but we don't know, the only problem I have with richh87's answers regarding a fan owned Club is that it would only be a temporary stop gap in essence until the Fan club owners could combine with CCFC, That's just purely not right is it?

So why don't fans just get behind the CCFC Supporters Team?

Is this a real question? Can you really not see why people may not see the appeal of supporting the unorganised CCFC supporters team?

The showing of strength that was moving to sixfields is a clear sign that SISU can sustain the club for the next 3/5 years AND invest in a new ground. These are shrewd business people and they will be fully aware that attendances would be around what they are getting, before making the move that they have.

I really wish the council would give up the freehold. If they built it for the club then it is in their interest to do so, otherwise they may as well have not built it in the first place.

Worse than Sisue? No chance.
If they changed our name to Coventry Elephants I would not be happy but I would certainly be happier than I am now.

Not surprising and the capatilist in me would always support anyone who could get a deal at below market price. No one would offer full price for a house or a car would they?

Most peoples issue is how they are going about their business to acheive this, ie distress tactics in order to engineer an angle that perhaps wasnt there before. Its one thing knocking 10% of the value but I would guess they are not happy with such paltry reductions.

And SISU are doing a pretty good job of that too. I have said in previous posts a lot of what is going on is a football problem not just a Coventry problem.

Local businessmen used to run football clubs, now it is international business people. Unsurprisingly the lack of morals and the ability to exploit loopholes is the name of the game as it is in the global market.

It's all about profit not loyalty to your customer.

Despit NOPM and all that, SISU have still got us as fans (and potential customers) until they reveal what ever plan they have for our club. A breakaway club and a sizable commitment would be about the only way to stick two fingers up to them but that would mean alot of fans walking away permanently not just filling gaps on a saturday. Any breakaway club takes comitment and alot of planning and resources which no one seems to want to take up the mantle.

Whilst we all still talk about CCFC, the club will continue. We dont know how long SISU can hold out over there but they do not seem to be in a rush to come back which is the worrying part.

So get the supporters team organised and use it as a start.

What league are they in Nick. Are they even in the football League pyramid? Its as much use starting with the CCFC supporters team as it would be starting from scratch on a new team entirely, equall amount of work to be done. At least if it was a breakaway team, people would have input from the start.

That's fair enough, I am not in the same boat but nevertheless.
