It's about the new ground plans, Sandra garlick said last week that the plans would be released in the next few days, sorry to piss on everyone's chips but i wouldn't get up too early, we were never going back to the Ricoh, they're not even talking to each other,
why would cj announce this to be thrilling and what we've all been waiting for?

maybe you're right, but I really hope you're not :)

So do I but it's all been leading up to the new ground plans, seeing as the club are announcing the news it can't be anything else, they'll probably say how they made an offer for the Ricoh but council aren't willing to sell and how they have no choice but to go ahead with the fisher bowl, god I hope I'm wrong.

Im a half empty kinda a guy.

I fear the worst. I see a few scenarios;
1) new poxy tinpot stadium plans and its really seriously meant
2) new poxy tinpot stadium plans that are just a bargaining tool
3) return to my beloved Ricoh Arena
4) sale of club to someone else
5) SISU have agreed a sale for Higgs trust 50%
6) no real thrilling or interesting news.
7) refranchising

I doubt very much that scenario 3 or 4 is true.

I really fear scenario 1. That would kill the club off I loved. Much as I despise SISU, they too tend to
carry out what they say they will do. They even bought Stephen Wright when they said they would.

Tomorrow could be a very black day. I do hope Im completely wrong.

But if the news revolved around Fantasy Land, how have the owners of CCFC got the the power to silence the media? Who has that much power to place an embargo on news that the majority clearly do not want to hear?

I imagine some on here are already queuing at the Ricoh to get in. You know how some like to jump the gun.

If we're coming home then fantastic, but all we ever get is gut wrenching bad news of you know who.

Would the Telegraph publish an article from Ian (Smunt) Palmer saying how he was excited by a new stadium, to be followed a day later by Sisu announcing more plans of a new stadium....?

All pointing to Tim Fisher on TV and radio, oiling bullshit tomorrow.
Hope I'm wrong.

You're right. I'm now getting angry with journos using this to increase ratings/sell more newspapers. Fans are the ones who are suffering but are the last to know what's going on. If I stop clutching at straws, I just don't see how it can be about the Ricoh

The embargo has been put on by the Club!

Exactly. Which is why it won't be taken seriously," here's your nice new ground but we haven't got anywhere to build it" you'd think they'd wait until they have both confirmed until any announcement, but this is sisu they do things how they want,

The ability to refuse access later. It's not legally binding or anything unless people signed an NDA (which I wouldn't put past Sisu).

Have heard it's stadium plans.

Press embargos are very common, as shmmee mentions it happens all the time with game/hardware reviews, particularly recently. In most cases it's not worth cutting your access to a news source in order to break it.
