Having read all the 'posts' on this thread I feel depressed by the very negative responses, I'm sure negotiations to acquire the preferred site are at an advanced stage ( with a plan B also in place ).

No quick fixes here, regrettably these things take time, the problem today is our 'INSTANT' society!

We developed master plans for the stadium and associated facilities on three separate sites with careful consideration given to pitch orientation, fan approach and stadium operations. These three key factors require a very similar approach on the two sites which are currently being bid on, so the proposed stadium design concept will be fundamentally the same for both sites.

The crucial word there is MASTERPLAN. A masterplan just has a block for the building. It is not a design - it is a geographical exercise.

Sisu said they'll give it until Christmas and then begin plans - looks like that's one of the few things they haven't bullshitted about because here they are. I'll be more convinced when they release where it's going to be, but once they have I'll be ready to give them some credit. Despite all the spin, lies and nonsense, I do believe we as a club need to own our stadium to be sustainable - and this looks like a great asset for Sky Blues IF it ever happens.

But that is not the one we are getting !! The one shown is the fully expanded one. Inside it looks similar to the Ricoh and I guess its closer to 30,000 than 20,000.

I wonder if anyone has been paid for any work they have done on stadium investigations. CBRE will do quite a lot on the promise of big sums later on. SISU no need to 'invest' anything at all at this stage but promises.

Not even sure the roof design is feasible without putting the standard overroof support structures in place.

It's just a sketch. You see plenty of this kind of thing in masterplans for development sites, parks strategies etc.. All part of Sisu's own masterplan to stress other into either selling up or giving up - this is what they do.

RFC, with the greatest respect, SISU do not care about you, me, Nick, Grendel, Otis, any of us. They are purely an avenue for the very rich to get even richer. Now they have made such huge mistakes they will stoop even lower to recover what they can. You have zero idea of the reality of who & what we are dealing with here.

And most importantly: How much will it cost?

The key to me personally supporting this plan is what financial state will the club be in afterwards. Surely they have some idea of that, otherwise how can they put together a business plan?

What we have has from Sisu so far is literally a few thousand quids worth of talking and a CAD image.
Any real planning would be hundreds of thousands committed.
If anyone thinks that's gonna happen best of luck.
What is probably gonna happen is an extended talking shop with ms. Garlick reporting and talk of talks re locations.

That comment is insane. It's truly lunacy. You see an Etch-a-Sketch picture of what something might look like at a location you have no - and I mean no - knowledge of, and you say you would't mind it?

FFS - that's the attitude that got us out of the Highfield Road and into the Ricoh.

Just a thought, lets assume for a minute this does get built. They want the money back as fast as possible so need to create a demand.

A genius at SISU designs and builds a stadium which with a bit of success on the pitch will not be big enough and so they have created the demand for tickets.
They can then charge more than the going rate which they could have charged otherwise(at the Ricoh) and with a packed house every week the atmosphere would be better and also own the stadium. Don't forget the lack of atmosphere has been a major issue at the Ricoh in a lot of peoples eyes ever since we moved there.

Was thinking the same thing. Surely the smaller the stadium the more they will charge to try and recoup money?

We do well and we all know we can easily get 20,000+.

Stop posting this crap it's not helpful to debate. The club have turned down several offers of revenue sharing and offers to negotiate for more.

We could be perfectly viable at the Ricoh if our owners wanted it.

Again. My 95% mortgage is "a mixture of equity and debt". It tells us nothing. How much debt? To who? On what terms?
