Oh for fucks sake . Its the Xmas issue. Number 1356. Dated 21 December -9th Jan because they publish every 2 weeks and not next week obviously. Not everything is a conspiracy you know.

Finally! Haven't received it yet, so unable to comment. I take it the article is in the 'Rotten Boroughs' section? That makes 2 anti SISU articles (both In The Back under 'Planet Football') followed by 2 anti CCC articles. Looks like the respective PR agencies are having a field day.....

I'm glad you don't share my views after all we all need a laugh with all that is going on and you sure give us that.
Any way you are to dumb to be Tim Fisher so see that as you please.
And yes some of us are narrow minded but you need to look at yourself as well.

I hate SISU and no matter what they do now, and I cannot change the way I feel if that is narrow minded then ok I am.

No. I made a statement.Pointless arguing with people so narrow minded that they unleash an incoherent tirade without even having read the article I referred to. For every comment I make there are at least 10 people ready to step in and have a go back - I realise that and that I dont share the views of the vast majority on here.

No mention on here or from the Trust bedwetters on the interesting article in todays Private Eye about Coventry City. Ugandan politics alleged by our beloved Council and Directors.

funny that

No mention because as a Private Eye subscriber I haven't received it yet! Post it on here if you want us to comment on it, otherwise you're just pissing in the wind (again).

Interesting. There's a heavy amount of insinuation in there rather than outright evidence. Still no smoking gun of what exactly the "impropriety" is though.

Why wouldn't CCFC not be able to get legal advice?

As I mentioned earlier, looks like the PR firms are having a field day.

No mention of 'Ugandan Relations' though.

How can you blame CCC for CCFC not hiring professional advisors??

Major inaccuracy regarding the Ricoh's value (again).

Are we meant to believe that SISU came in with their eyes wide shut as well?!

ps thanks for finally posting the article

Not much wrong with that. I think the JR will be interesting, doesn't meant it will be clear cut though.

It doesn't mean that aSISU have been running our club above board and winning the backing of the fans though does it?

They are ham fisted in their approach to sailing a clear path out of troubled waters and mud slinging at their opposition.

Sort of agree..either this is just a PR feed from both sides which seems unlikely given its Private Eye or else there is no one really close enough (or able to talk) about what has gone on and what is currently happening to create a really punchy story.

More interesting is who was on the board then that's now (or always was) on Sisu's side and leaked the document?

Or it's Private Eye doing a bit of back covering and suggesting there may be complexities on both sides. They know how to stop being sued!

Why don't you put him on ignore. That's what you do when posters get challenging normally

why not read the article before bleating off about something you know fuck all about. Yes I am from "here" and I would suggest the people of Coventry have been pushed about for most of the 20th Century and shrugged shoulders and got on with it Im afraid.

You seem to insinuate that the people of Coventry have just shrugged their shoulders when having been pushed around for most of the 20th Century, yet seem to be against them having made a stand against SISU (or at least that they are misguided in their stance, judged on other posts). Are you saying, 'tough sh*t' and put up with it, like you've done for the past century' or are you asking the people of Coventry to turn their wrath on the Council as the people are misguided in blaming SISU? Just asking...

SISU's PR people have been trying to hawk this non-story around everywhere for months. I guess Private Eye finally had an empty slot in their Christmas edition - Ho, Ho, Ho.

According to the last SCG minutes Stacie McDermott (CCFC marketing manager) appears to suggest that Sisu didn't do due diligence.

SM – At present the club has control of its destiny. How many fans wish SISU had done due diligence back then and not bought the club? If we go back to rental deal we might not be in control again.

Seems to me if one group is guilty of not knowing what they were doing then both of them were. Sisu really didn't do due diligence

So do you know more?

I'm not even sure what's being implied here, or even what's being said.

How could sisu do due dillegence - they bought the club at virtually 5 minutes notice!

Hunt is the antithesis of RFC - an idiot that sits on the other side of the fence.

I think its the patronising and wild assumption that the "people of coventry" are some sort of unified, working class heroes, ready to invoke the Blitz spirit any time their precious football club (active supporters circa 1/30th of the city population) is in the shit. Thats all.

What I think is being implied is that the three people mentioned signed something saying that they didn't fully understand what they were signing up to when agreeing to the Ricoh deal. That's one interpretation of it another is that they were just covering their asses using those phrases mentioned and as one of them was a lawyer that's not implausible either.

Bought maybe, not shown an interest or started negotiating
;-)

But if it was last minute, they have to take responsibility for that. Also it took along time for them to realise? Financial experts? Rental agreement is pretty basic.

Well, they bought the club ~5 minutes before it would have been put into administration .... not sure if anyone outside of Sisu knows how long they spent looking at the books before making an offer. Frankly if they made a blind offer without knowing what they were getting in to, then they deserve to lose their entire investment.

The process takes several weeks. One assumes sisu had signed of the project in principal to "honest" Ray. He wanted Southampton and only agreed to bail Coventry out when that deal went down.
