I would expect that most clubs owners want their club to do well and be as self-sustainable as possible rather than hamstrung in this way. The notion of it being the right of the owner of the ground to be making money out of the club is absurd, long-term. That's why we all hate ACL so much after all, isn't it?

No, it is perfectly fine for ACL to charge us rent, that is SISU's fault for "agreeing" to it.

I bet there are a lot of clubs with the stadium in a seperate company either a management or holding company but seperate from the club.

Sisu obviously want this to increase and while some people DO go there is always the chance that attendances could rise if we started doing really, really well. As it stands Sisu always have the hope that fans may well come back and that attendances will increase.

If no-one went at all then this would show in fact that things were going in completely the wrong direction for the owners. At the mo they might well feel that City fans will come back in time and will go to any new stadium once it is built. If no-one went to home games this season at Sixfields then that blows that whole theory out of the water and would leave the owners in grave doubts whether fans would attend any new stadium.

If we won 3 or 4 in a row, Grendel, the attendances would rise, albeit not vastly. We somehow made it to the top 3 and I think they might well be 3,000-4,000 there.

As City fans we all want the club to do well and if we do do well fans will want to go.

I agree with you that no fans is unrealistic. Just mooting what I think would force hands. We do also need to put pressure on ACL and the council too of course.

The answer for me is still the Rioch.

Agree with a lot of that. SISU must be aware that they are unlikely to increase attendances at Sixfields. Large away followings show love of the club is still there. However, the boycotting is not pointless in that it ought to put pressure on SISU to fast track any decisions they are going to make about the future. If for that reason alone, I am glad.

We are a great club with a great history, but the minute we left Highfield Road then the clock to destruction started ticking. We have absolutely NOTHING a potential investor would want. If we go back to the Ricoh as tenants then we'll be home but we still have nothing.

Finally, do you really think we're a little L1 club? What, just like Southampton, Norwich, Fulham, Wigan, Stoke, Cardiff, Hull and Swansea were a few years ago? When we were...in the top flight?!? You've been swallowing too much SISU PR for too long! This is a great club with history and has massive potential and I would have thought that it's fans of all people would be aware of that. It's almost as mind boggling as those that argue that a crappy L2 ground is going to be good enough for us...utterly devoid of ambition and pride in our history.

Sorry to upset anybody but I think its time for the 1200 or so fans who go to sixfeilds to stop going now and put an end to this nonsense .if you care about this club you will stop trying your doing the best thing for the club.I have news for you .you are damaging the club by giving these incompetent owners the will to carry on. I really think you already have your wish. Our gates last year were about 11k average. As I have said before, take out the free tickets that players staff etc dosh out, take out everyone who breathes within the ground counted as an attendee, take out the neutrals who go in the Coventry end and you probably have less than 10% of last years paying attendance. Take into account how well we have been playing until recently at home and you see how even worse the gates are. At the Ricoh, away teams used to bring more fans for the day out. We would have had a big gate on Boxing Day and a huge gate against the Wolves. Most City fans have voted with their feet. I think most clubs have fans who would go to all games no matter what the circumstances.

I have no information to make a serious guess about the alternative to be honest. I'm still open to being convinced it's for the best (leaving aside my personal feelings for the owners) but no-one seems willing to do that.

If SISU go & the football Club has a good run & theres a strong hint of promoted, you'll have gates in excess of 20K+ without doubt.

There is a desire to support the club, it's just been eroded over the years, give a sustained spell of success, people will flood back.

I personally won't go to a home game again until SISU have gone & we are back playing IN Coventry
