Some very good points Otis, and to an extent I agree, but the city has evolved on the last 10 years, there has been a lot of immigration (not saying that's a bad thing) and these new communities don't have the same infinity to the city or the football club. This is going to have an impact on the medium to long term fanbase of the club.

I have no idea if Southampton have experienced similar diversity, but they also don't have the number of rival league clubs in short proximity that we have.

maybe a lot of immigration yet during the 60's people came from all around to Coventry the place of work/jobs and ended up supporting the Sky Blues,

My dad came from Durham as a kid , yet he became a City fan

Why? because we were successful

Has anyone got any idea of the JR hearing date?

There has no date been set.

The only thing SISU have been granted, at the moment, is the right to a Judicial Review, should they choose to pursue the matter. It is now up to them to submit their case and a date for the hearing will then be set.

Yes; we were successful BUT we also had owners/management that engaged the fans to the point that they wanted to be part of it. XDo we have that same level of engagement now? Absolutely NOT.

Unfortunately now we are at at the complete opposite regarding fans opinions

Leicester's football team is in direct competition with a Rugby team that is far more successful and a pretty good cricket as well. We don't really have any other established sports teams that can dilute our fanbase so a successful football team playing in it's own city could achieve a good average attendance. Besides, out in the sticks in Leicestershire the families are far to busy with each other to be worrying about watching football.

The cricket season only slighty overlaps with the football season, and Leicestershire attracted less than 12k cumulative attendance for the entire season. leicester Tigers are a big draw and pull in a fair few fans from outside the county including Coventry and Warwickshire.

We may not have a big sporting rival in city, but we do have to compete with villa and midlands clubs. I know quite a few villa season ticket holders who live in nuneaton for example.

And I'm sure there's a fair few from Stratford, and the leafy warwickshire suburbs that far to busy with each other to be worrying about watching football.

It's a different kind of immigration these days, and a lot of the new communities either are here for the short term, or have little extra exposable income.

My family descend from Newcastle, they never switched allegiance and still support the Toon.

How far will we go..?

Based on the current stats on football365 we have the 4th worst average attendance in the entire 4 divisions & there are 6 teams in the conference with a better average than ours so with the FFP restrictions this is nowhere near as bad as it could get.
