Nice one Danny Kelly - great to be reminded that what we are doing is 100% the right thing.

Keep kicking SISU in the nuts people - they don't have an endless supply of money.

Here's to getting rid of SISU in 2014!!!

Danny Kelly. Freeman of the City of Coventry in the New Years Honours list. After tomorrow I think there will be a few more critical words for our loathed owners..

Not quite sure how we are going to do it "rich87"....

If Northampton Town get relegated, it has been mooted by some that SISU will buy the club and a merger will take place, and all of a sudden there is no need to build a new stadium, and that will be the end of CCFC as we know it.
Also heard that ACL "ARE" struggling and are relying upon all of the Christmas parties being held at the Ricoh for an injection of some cash. I was told that there is a distinct possibility that they will sell their share in the new year also, But not to SISU as they know that it will just be broken down and sold off.
Basically, with SISU/Otium at our club, there is NO chance of a return to the Ricoh. If a possible merger takes place, that will be the end.
What I was told, made me very sad and I must admit, I nearly buckled both on boxing day and Sunday, actually contemplating a trip inside Sixfields to watch us play.
I know people will want me to reveal a source but I cant.
That will be all I say on this matter.

Sounds to me like someone down the pub has put 2 and 2 together and got 5 just because Northampton are on the verge of going out the football league and our current predicament.

Source? Keep it to yourself.

So a way of SISUE getting the money back for their investors would be to put Northampton into Div 3? :D

Not going to happen fella. Even if your top secret source was in the know. If SISU want the buy into Northampton they have to relinquish ownership of any other Football Club they have an interest in. And that would be Coventry. The FL will want one of the Golden shares back, and that will be the one related to Coventry.
Let SISU take over Northampton, it will mean we are rid of them (Not that I would wish SISU on any other fan) Then the City of Coventry are free from the SISU tyranny.

Maybe a case of too much Christmas sauce!!

That bit wouldn't have to happen. Their owner is already in bed with SISUE. He could swap 100% of a non league club for 10% of a 3rd division club for instance. Not much of a return for them though. ....unless bite off nose to spite face. Would leave a gap for us to start again if the FL would allow it though.

Non starter for me.

If that is true, then we can be quite sure that the FL would use their 'discretion' and agree to it.

Back to the original theme of the post -
The best part, at 14.50 into the 12.30 - 1.00pm section, is when Kelly says
"I don't think I've ever come across a more ludicrous example of the out-of-touchness of the people who own a football culb from their supporters", even in comparison to Vincent Tan at Cardiff!

True we are his Hero's of 2013 for staying away and going to away games.
like he also said other teams play away from there area but it was due to necessity (ex; man U to Maine Rd due to old Trafford being bomb etc) not because the owners pulled them out of what is a world class stadium.

Imagine the irony if true though, bearing in mind Northampton have had planning permission to increase to 10k with new conference suite and shop with further planning for hotel and retail space next to the ground. The irony bit is that the ground bit is part funded by Northampton Council. I could see a JR in the distance............

That is in fact an accurate reflection of the regulations, but it would not be the first time that a person / business had ownership of 2 clubs. All they do is appoint someone else in name and pull the strings from the shadows. Lets face it the fact that this would be morally wrong would certainly not deter the scum that is SISU/Otium.
