In before the comments start about the meeting only being open to the Sixfields super fans!

The first question I would ask is how come weeks after 'lifelong fan' Garlick said she had see the plans we had Labovich on CWR saying we were only getting an artists impression and not the plans as the plans didn't exist yet!

They want to hear the fans views, how about "let's get back to the Ricoh and stop all this nonsense about building a new stadium."

I think anyone attending should give full support and get behind the building of this stadium, push for dates and make it ASAP.

I think the stadium will not happen, it's a bluff, the club will be back at the Ricoh just a case of when, but in the meantime push for the new stadium to be built and call that bluff.

"Sixfields super fans!"...........................Nice one chiefdave...........Says it all eh!

Can't take credit for that one, sure it's been used many times on here. No idea who came up with it first. Being serious do they not put any thought into these things. Having the first meeting open only to those that go to Sixfields is just giving people a reason to moan. i can't imagine there's going to be thousands wanting to go so why not just make it first come first served and if there's enough demand do a few nights in a row as with the fans forums last summer.

I agree with you and I go to Sixfields. However, the next meeting is open to all. I won’t be attending the forum. Waste of time.

That's what SBK does though. He just picks out the bits that he agrees with. I'm sure he'll be catching the forum live on an internet stream anyway so he can tell us how it goes. Waits for him to come back with something to do with "estimated facts"...

the "impartial" Garlick states...

......................
“I have met and chatted with lots of supporters since taking up my role, but we now want to meet with Sky Blues fans formally to make sure that all views are taken into account.

“I know that everyone wants the club back in the Coventry area as soon as possible, and our only role is to ensure that when that happens, it will be coming to a home which reflects both the tradition and the ambition of the club.
..................

If truely impartial, she would be saying "Coventry" not "Coventry area"

also, the ricoh reflect the tradition (we used to play there) and the ambition of the club (not a 12k seater lego set)

So, there you have it, meeting over. Get back to the Ricoh.

The very fact that she keeps stating the SISU favoured 'Coventry area' makes her sound less than impartial to me.

If she is totally independent and impartial I wonder how SISU got hold of her, I don't recall anything asking people to come forward if they wished to lead a group like this. Given that her company is one of the only local companies still advertising with the club its easy to see people viewing her as less than impartial.

I can't understand why they would open it up to season ticket holders first? It's creating even more of a divide isn't it, giving them special treatment? It's not quite the same as having priority on cup tickets is it?

She needs to be told in no uncertain terms that no one wants or needs another new stadium, and coventry should be in coventry at the Ricoh, not coventry area.

She simply can not be impartial, she's reporting back to fisher.

And being leader of chamber of commerce she will be fully aware of the positive economical impact having CCFC at the Ricoh brings to coventry, and the negative impact them not being there has..,

I dont see a major issue with being open to season ticket holders at first. It would be the same if we were at the Ricoh or not surely? Season ticket holders would get first priority. Which they should technically.

Is she leader of Coventry Chamber? If so someone should ask her why as leader of that group she is assisting SISU with plans to build a new ground outside the city. Surely as leader of the chamber she should be pushing for a return to the city so that her members can enjoy the economic benefits.

If we were at the Ricoh we wouldn't be having the forum! But I see your point. A forum at the Ricoh with Elvis for ST holders would be viewed more as a benefit for ST holders. This is about the future of our club, there are already huge divisions and making a meeting ST holder only is just giving people ammunition to snipe.

Also, given the lack of protest against SISU by Sixfields attendees, it could be viewed that there will be less resistance to the new stadium plans from an audience made up of those attending Sixfields. You can imagine Fisher and Labovich spouting off about how well received the plans have been after the first forum.

Completely agree. Realistically though the whole thing means nothing.

Whilst I don't necessarily disagree, the "divide" will be caused by those who post on here with their "Sixfields Super Fan" shit. You then get idiots like SBK agreeing and ta-da, you have a divide. Everyone will get the chance to go whether they have a ST or not.

Exactly. And the sniping has started by you and others already. Maybe you’d feel less aggrieved if it was non-season ticket holders who went first? But if that was the case then there would only be moaning about the new stadium anyway. So it’s a lose-lose situation all round.

Are you suggesting there is a win-win situation?

If it was open to all I would suggest that there would be a mix of Sixfields and non Sixfields attendees and that there would be some in favour of the new stadium and some against it. Chances are that those who are happy to travel to Sixfields are less likely to object to a new stadium in the Coventry area therefore an easier audience to get their message across to.

I'm not sure you can state that everyone who isn't a season ticket holder would be against the new stadium. If that's the case then SISU have a huge problem as they are only going to sell a handful of season tickets at the new ground, should they ever actually build it.

Of course it is just one set of fans causing the divide isn't, nobody else is argumentative in the slightest are they ?

@ Covlad65..................Couple of points here mate!..1) I've always said "Go to Sixfields if you want too" 2) I laughed at the nickname of those that go to Sixfields 3)The most serious point is The season ticket holders, ie= Sixfield attendees get to speak to the "Holy Grail" first. Now!!! if THAT isn't splitting the fans f**k knows what is!!!....Then it is said..."A meeting for non-season ticket holders will be held later in January and a date will soon be announced." Will a date actually be set for the "Black Sheep" or "Vast Majority of 90%" I very much doubt it!...Oh Yes...if you want to get personal, so can I "Dickhead" Read more at http://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/article/first-ccfc-stadium-forum-meeting-1272488.aspx#hBSECQItBxzYhmth.99

Just seems to me that why give the ST holders first option on such an issue.....it gives me the impression they feel their input is more valuable than anyone else's.
If they cared so much about the fans they'd just have separate forums based on numbers expressing an interest

torchomatic

It is, but they're just having two separate meetings. Ideally they would have a mixture but they're not. At the end of the day everyone will get the chance to air their views so I'm not sure what the fuss is about.

Perhaps it would be more beneficial if the club had taken season ticket holders from this season and the last two seasons.

Announced 2-3 dates and then let the fans book the date which suited them best.

This way you would have a broader spectrum of the potential fan base. I would have thought it would have been important to engage season ticket holders we have lost in the last 2-3 years with a project like building a new stadium. Surely the return of these customers is key to the projects success?

Reading the article seems to me that this forum will just be a token jester to try to improve the PR. No discussion about where it maybe just how it will look.

Won't you get the live streaming of the season ticket one then? I'm sure if you ask that company that does all those exclusives for you they'll sort you out.
