Baker was signed for the championship which he was 90% of the time poor and I can if you want dig out loads of threads criticising him.

Barton will never be anything other than an average division 1 player

Fleck has done well but as tommy pointed out Regis was hopeless under Gould and Mackay as they were poor managers. Fleck needs motivation so again at the time he was a poor but as thorn couldn't motivate anyone.

He actually said we were poor in the first half, held our own in the second and came to life for the last 20 minutes.

The excellent was more to do with overall attitude this season.

Indeed. Specs was the nickname I was given by the fans I used to sit next/near to at HR. WT-R75 (west terrace R 75)... in any case I had laser surgery, but the nickname stuck... seemed like an appropriate name to sign up with at the time! I don't think they actually knew my real name until recently!

Why can't we enjoy this period (for the football)? For the first time in a long time, we have a winning team. We have a team made up of Coventrians. We have a manager who is committed. We have a manager that is producing good football. I n face of the most difficult circumstances any Coventry manager has had to face. FFS we won away at Barnsely in the FA Cup, with a weakened team. Okay we probably weren't excellent, but what is wrong with praise.Why the fuck can't we enjoy? As Alexander O'Neill sang "All you ever do is criticize". I reckon some people on here would be happier if we got relegated.
