I hope its something that's actually newsworthy and not some SISU BS that's been rushed out after they've seen the trusts statement today. Although if there is just one site to be pinpointed why don't SISU just say where it is?

Personally I think it will be more of a guess from CT, happy to be proved wrong when the article is released.

But then again why would it be under an embargo (details released at 8pm) why not straight away? But I think you're right, it's probably a guess.

The worrying part of that quote was "Im going tomorrow to feedback on improving the fan experieince at Sixfields" REALLY??? Who gives a shit about the fan experience at Sixfields apart from RFC. Use the forum as a means to asking the right questions about the future of our football club not about asking for padded seats or different filled pies ffs

It isn't padded seats that is needed. It is padded cells for those that believe the shite SISUE come out with.

Not surprised ... of course they've not applied, if they had any intention of building a new stadium they would have bought land and got on with it by now, since financially and business wise, the most sensible thing would have been to do it asap so as to get back to Coventry sooner rather than later and tap into the full revenue streams offered by sole ownership coupled with all the revenue of having 5 figure crowds back at a stadium. This has always and always will be a bluff, they intend to utilise the Ricoh, it's just a matter of time and which plan they can adopt, amongst many so far, that gets it them the cheapest in my opinion !

My only guess Torch would be to build tension and hype.

Nuneaton could move to the Ricoh, Coventry to Nuneaton?

As I said to a good friend of mine about half hour ago, what if Sisu plan to build a Stadium on the Gypsy Lane site for instance and then groundshare with Nuneaton? You could understand a ground in that area being dismissed if the proposals were just for CCFC but if Nuneaton were to groundshare permnamently... Could they turn it down?

would NT want that? how big are their crowds?

Well there trying to reach the Football League in the past haven't they had trouble with the Ground? I am not suggesting it's a realistic option, just speculating.

Presumably the stadium would move on after a couple of weeks. Do SISU tarmac drives?

What if short term it was a ground/shed for CCFC with a longer term plan to sell it to NTFC after eventually getting Ricoh...

Bedworth and Nuneaton, perhaps that is what they meant by 2?

If you read the Trust wording again, it is clear. They wrote to seven Councils surrounding Coventry:

Warwick
Warwickshire
Rugby
Nuneaton and Bedworth
North Warwickshire
Hinckley and Bosworth
Solihull

PLUS

Coventry

Seven have replied, N & B have not yet

And why is that "worrying?" It is after all the agenda for the meeting so whu go and ytalk about anything else?. I have a particular point to make about how the club has allowed season ticket numbers to decline (even before this season) and how the club needs to have a massive push on this and a dose of humility to welcome back the lost generation- not just this seasons missing but those who have deserted over the last 5 years - this applies whether we are building a new ground or back at the Ricoh. There is no long term viability of club until this is recognised and acted upon.

Of course, I could always take your advice and wrap myself in a piss soaked bedsheet and shout SISU Out from the back of the room. In my experience, my option will have more impact, but thanks for the advice.

All conjecture but this is my understanding of potential development land in or around Bedworth.

Land at Bedworth Rugby Club, Rectory Fields Bedworth (The lease is up soon and reports suggest that the Rugby club is moving to Bowling Green Lane (This could also be a site for City. Liggins Farm Rectory Fields. Bermuda Park Nuneaton (The bit near the ring road b4114)? Blackhorse Road Exhall. The former site of the driving range that was earmarked for development. Areas in Ash Green such as the section in the between Goodyers End Lane and Ash Green Lane. Coventry Welsh Rugby Club. Gypsy Lane Bedworth/ Nuneaton just after the railway bridge near A444.

Bedworth United Football Club.

Just also noticed that Gypsy Lane mentioned before. There is loads of land in that area. Also the land between Bedworth and Gypsy Lane.

That could work, but we are told that the Arena is a sustainable business model without the Club so if this is a ploy to distress ACL/CCC it might not work.

Sorry, are you talking about St Georges way on the a444 where Lynx used to be? Or actually the farmland down Gypsy lane which I think is mostly owned by Lord Daventry?

I agree, I hope CT don't report it as such I hate being right usually.

Actually, I think the Ricoh and the new stadium are a red herring. I've seen secret documents suggesting that Sixfields was the stadium of choice all along. The plan started quite a while ago when we started dumping our crap players on them: Marcus Hall, Roy O'Donoivan, Clive Platt.... Despite last season's play off blip things started moving along nicely this season when Aidy really started showing what he's made of.

The very same land as stated by FF above.

Coventry Telegraph News Alert - Aidy Boothroyd today has been revealed to be the hidden man behind the alias Joy Seppala..
