Has anyone got all day to put together a list of things done by Timothy. Why has he, why did he and why didn't he.

Not me unfortunately, just everything seems to make less sense with every news story or public statement.

That is a question you would need to direct to Fisher himself. If I was to take a guess the approach was made after they had a strop and moved out of the Higgs. Ryton doesn't have the facilites needed to retain their academy status so I would summise that Fisher was looking at alternative. As we know they ended up having to move back to the Higgs.

I wish I was going to the Stadium Forum tonight now.. Feck!!

Getting answers from Fisher though is like getting blood from a stone..

Before everyone says "Fisher Lies" and "It's all bollocks" the statement from N&B say's they've had contact but hasn't ruled out future contact.

How could any Council rule out future contact? I couldn't rule out ever seeing Pippa Middleton in the shower at the gym, but I'm only giving it another 3-5 years.

"Since that initial exploratory contact we have received no further approach and we are therefore not considering any proposal for any particular location."

or could it be N&B trying to calm the speculation down? he has basically said we have spoke to them and heard nothing back...so its either not happening or CCFC are doing due diligence - having impact reports done etc...all this would have to be done to even considering making an further approach to the Council.

They have to tell the truth. They tried to do a 'no comment' that backfired. Their latest comment is very clear. Unless you want to make excuses up for SISUE that is.

I reckon he'll have loads of answers, this stuff is only news to us, he's known this was coming since he first said it.

They said they'd been approached by a 3rd party. The status is similar to Rugby.
The wording they have been approached by a third party says it all, SISU would not approach the councils but there representatives would and they are covered by the data protection act away from what ML has been saying which allows the council to rebuttle his response.

So who are the 2 councils that Sisu are talking too at this moment in time?

Its bull£ht and it needs to be put to Sisu.

The best place to build a stadium has been built on. It is where the Ricoh was built. That is why about 25m was spent decontaminating the land it was built on.

All SISUE have done so far has been making enquiries on land where they had no chance of getting permission. There is a good chance they knew this. Or they thought it would be a lot easier than it is. They are used to doing what they want but not used to building anything. Maybe this is why Timothy recently said they might still rent the Ricoh. They are running out of alternatives. They are running out of time to get plans moving. Running out of time to pretend they will build something.

You seem confident Rusty, I can't help feel like that there is something missing..

Thing is Astute it's not even been six months did anyone expect a turnaround in Planning Permission in that time?

It doesn't say when the approach was made. Saying that it was 'speculative' and 'at an early stage' could mean that it was at an early stage of the development plans. It could have been quite recently. It's a bit too early to start cheering yet, lads.

It is the process.
I wanted to develop some of my land and set up a meeting with the Nuneaton Council officers which tied up 2 officers for over an hour..
I presented my proposals and on each case was told I had no chance because of .........
Left the meeting knowing how they would process any outline planning permission request I might consider putting in and it cost me nothing.

If I wanted to I could tell my Mrs that the meeting went well and they would accept an application for outline planning permission.
Don't have to tell her what would happen to it though but I could live the moment.

isn't the key phrase from N&B the following

"we are therefore not considering any proposal for any particular location"

that means there is no proposal for the exhall site that they are considering for example. It would also mean they have not asked for an economic impact report on any site wouldn't it because that would form part of any considerations they have to make.

clearly they have talked (or their agents have) to two local councils .... Rugby & Nuneaton and Bedworth..... It has gone no further than an initial chat it would seem. Has either council taken it further, it would seem not. Is an economic impact report part of what would be needed yes but it seems from what is reported no council has requested one but the agents acting for SISU might of course. Has real progress been made in finding a new site for a new stadium been made, it doesn't look like it but clearly we need a statement from the club to clarify that Are there items there that could tick boxes at the FL for now probably. But until there is definite proof from the club one way or another we are stuck at Sixfields or worse

You might not of said that but Fisher and Labovich both did. We know, at best, they have spoken to one council about a new ground and it was a tentative enquiry which has not been followed up on.

How does that tie up with Fisher and Labovich saying they were in talks with two councils about a new stadium, not training ground, and were asked to prepare various reports and assesments?

It wouldn't surprise me if sisu were talking to Northampton council or another council in the area About sticking legoland down there. The uproar by the fans would be immense, hence the tight lips from fisher and co about the location.

In fairness there are a couple on here...I don't think there is much doubt that the recent statements made about talks taking place regarding a new site have been exposed as at best gross exaggeration...and some would say at worst lies. Can't believe anyone is still giving them the benefit of the doubt!

I agree, from the Council's (Nuneaton & Beduff, Rugby) statement's in the media, neither have had discussions with any such purpose with the Club as Fisher/Labradoodle had perceived.

"not been followed up on" - Not yet it hasn't this remains to be seen, I am very skeptical about it though.

Yes but your wrong Robbo.

1 council has been approached regarding ground and 1 has been approached regarding training complex (which I would guess was for Cat 2 training centre for the kids) So 2 councils have not been contacted regarding stadium.

I just had a look on there. It's quite sad how excited they all are about the CT article last night and how it's proof that SISU really are building a stadium.
