Yes other wise you would be in a situation where the value of your mortgage would keep changing.

But your mortgage is what you have borrowed not what your house is worth. The house price only comes into affect when you remortgaged or move.

Although I do agree that players aren't proper assets in the same sense of bricks and mortar, and I agree that you are right about how players are accounted for.

Would his value of risen/distorted because I believe Liverpool paid a loan fee for him??

No because the loan fee had a life of January to May 2010 after which that fee was worthless. In the accounts the fee would be written off over the life of the contract (5 months)

He is a completely different player to juke and is someone that would need juke to play off. I only saw them on sky a couple of time last season - he reminded me a bit of Robbie Blake.

so over those 5 months he would of been valued at the price they paid, but when he left his price dropped to what it was before (£0)??

Really do think him and Juke would be a great partnership up fron, and we have creativity in midfield. We scored goals under Thorn last season, and could of had a lot more in most of his games in charge.

depends on the contract but I believe we retained his registration so the fee we received would have written off as income not as an asset. So I doubt CCFC put any value on him in terms of the accounts and at the clubs financial year end 31st May there would be no value to it which ever way you look at it

wahey !!!!

We are going up again

We are premier league, say we are premier league.....

OR...

We may, possibly be able to scrape together some pennies to buy a chap playing in League Two, but it maybe at the expense of our only striker of note..

Cant help thinking that for every bit of sunshine on our club, a thunderstorm is a few minutes away !

Lots of penalties and six yard tap ins. The latter will be very useful, if only we had wingers...

I know it's a common interest about the state of our financial predicament at the moment and everything that goes with that, but is it ok if every thread doesn't turn into "how to read accounts for dummies"?! Sometimes I really do just want to discuss just football, especially on a thread that's discussing a potential new signing! Not having a go so please don't take offence :D

Looks like an out and out goalscorer to me. The question is will he go the Kevin Phillips route when stepping up or the Andy Morell route?

Really dont want us to sign him. I think we will have a another Eastwood on our hands if we do

Really? We have a threadbare squad and the possability of having to play 2 17 year olds up front saturday......and you do not want a proven goalscorer!! Strange. any addition would be welcome, he may not step up he may be great, but please, please give the fella a chance.

Proven goalscorer in League 2, im pretty sure that he hasn't even played League 1. I'm not saying that I wouldnt give him a chance, if he comes then great and I will support him, but I am not sure that he will be good enough.

Like the look of him in the video, the overhead kick is a stunner, and he scores a crakcing lob from the edge of the area about 6 mins in. Would bring a bit of excitement if we added him

i swear sisu read the threads on cov telegraph and other forums like this and follow what fans say, a lot of fans have been saying Le Fondre for a long time now, and now we are about to sign him. i hope he is able to step up, but we have a knack of buying in total garbage after they have hit their hights. Eastwood being a prime a prime example. I dot think city can stop at one signing though, they need an experienced player up front to lead. At least Le Fondre can hit the net... will he do it for us though? will he get the ball to feet in the6 yard box. lets hope so

Some very good finishes in the box there. Question is can he make the step up? Well if he signs we'll soon find out and at £500,000 well worth a gamble.

Troublesome, isn't it?...

utterly agree it is worrying, basically any side with wingers and an ariel threat in the box are going to beat us. i love watching wingers and we havent had a decent one for years. mifsud was good when on the wing, and i spose Macca is ok when he is on tune
