For some reason I don't think they want to buy the ricoh. It sounds as if they want a cheap lease deal really. Why spend another x million into something which has been a disaster for them. Think about it if they wanted the ricoh then they should be moving hell and earth in making it happen and they actually don't seem fussed.

Think you have it there, they want to purchase ACL with the lease, extended to 100 years (because that adds value).

But that will mean senior figures at ACL losing their jobs, which I presume is why Labovich alluded to 'senior figures misleading the council' in his last statement.

So why not make an offer for ACL first?

They wouldn't even pay the money owed to Higgs from the talks previously. To me all they want to do is pay next to nothing and get CCC to sort out ACL for them. It doesn't look like their scare tactics have worked with the council.

Lease is available tomorrow and sisu know this. Sisu know CCC cant sell freehold so what are they doing?

And without knowing what SISUE want how can a value be arrived at? Do they just want the stadium part of the arena? Or do they want everything including all of the surrounding land. If they had ever said what they wanted a decision could have been made by now. But also when they have said what they want they have changed their minds once offered it. Who would have guessed that they would have turned down rent free this season then 100k the next two when they said they wanted a lower rent?

They do seem to move the goal posts quite a bit. We started off this sorry affair because Sisu didn't negotiate the high rent they just stopped paying it. Then when better offers were made on the rent to the level Sisu wanted, it became about the pie money etc.

To quote a manager I once had "either pay up or piss off"

how has it been a disaster for SISU they caused the problems by not paying rent and not negotiating

That's bollocks!!

The Council need to clarify whether they are to sell the Freehold or anything else.

Then the Club need to provide an independent evaluation to determine the best price for what they're bidding for.

The Council/ACL could then do the same to ensure there are fair negotiations.

A mediator is brought and the two prices are discussed and a fair price is determined between both evaluations.

If everyone agrees then we have a deal. With Ann Lucas saying "Make me the best offer" without knowing what you're bidding for is idiotic!

why is it bollocks if SISU want the ricoh make an offer they never have done

Like I said CCFC do need to get the ball rolling but they need clarification from AL as to what is for sale, the Council don't need to do anything, in my last quote I said "Could" but what if the Council are given a price after a valuation and deem it unfair? Would it not be plausible to get two valuations and compare?

why make an offer the council will then look at the offer and decide yes or no

THE FREEHOLD IS NOT FOR SALE.

Confirmed

So new stadium it is then : facepalm:

If Sisu had bought ACL when they first had the chance they could have bought it for a lot less than it's likely to cost now.

What Shane O'Connor should have said to Labo is will you "Get an independent valuation for the Arena and with the Council also getting something similar we can then start negotiations at the lowest valuation which can then be negotiated on between the higher valuation"

The council CAN NOT!!! sell what sisu want. So a valuation is pointless. The Council DO NOT! own what the football team needs.

The Council can sell the Freehold, ACL can sell the Leasehold, being able to play a team there and getting match day revenues come from owning the Leasehold (or of course owning the freehold without a leaseholder) So the sensible option is for sisu to buy from ACL,

I've said this before but we own a flat in a building of flats, the freehold for this building is available for £15k , each one of the flats is worth 160-180k and there is 20 of them. What sisu want is for the freehold owner to buy all the flats so that they can sell the whole package. But who in their right mind would do this? especially when the person you are eventually going to sell too, is untrustworthy and breaks agreed deals,

What happens if the council buys out ACL and then sisu say nope we arn't buying at the deal we agreed, this leaves the council running the areana, which most likely lets sisu break the deal and leave the council struggling so they can buy at a cheaper rate than agreed.

SISU will come back for next season. 100% certain no new stadium. No point now prolonging the losses at sixfields so just bite the bullet and at least they would make money again with good crowds and increased sales.

SISU knew all along the ricoh wasn't for sale as this is 100% why they didn't put in a bid for it. Crafty gits. They want as cheap as possible lease/rental deal and then move back after 1 year in time for 14/15 season in my opinion. Sixfields was just a stop gap to fulfil their fixtures and get a better lease/rental deal.

There is nothing to bid on you moron so you don't agree well then youre wrong. Wont sell freehold so don't bid.

seems your the moron they could bid on anything they want then its up to the other party to accept or reject and that means freehold or long lease duh

Sisu can't bid as they know the freehold isn't for sale and hence why they never have. Finally confirmed why they haven't. Sisu are wasting everyone's time. Hope that's helps you and you learn from your error as you seem smart so I hope this for you.

But wouldn't the council need to know what SISUE want before any agreement could be made? SISUE have lost all trust from the council and from the vast majority of us fans. They need to sort out building up trust before anyone takes them serious again.

If it's rental deal or nothing then we probably do need to move on and build our own ground.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - so please excuse any spelling or grammar errors :)

Why? Come back, agree deals, stick to them, gain trust. £30m doesn't grow on trees the club will still be paying rental deals to its owner. Seems to me we are no better off in a new stadium that's smaller, away from the fanbase and not in Coventry. Humble pie required from otium

Why are sisu wasting everyone's time? The council, maybe. I can't see why they can't sell freehold, it just appears they don't want to.

I'm sick of all of this. I wish I could bang their heads together and get this sorted. The fans are losing out big time!!!

Labo is a clown hasn't got a clue what he's on about.

Sisu go from strength to strength with the idiots they employ.

Who would do business with someone who blubbers like a 10 year old who has just been told off?

Quite embarrassing just listening to him :pointlaugh:

Sisu put up or shut up or build your shed, but give us some thing so as supporters we know whether to move on or not?

It has been said many time Councils all over the country hardly ever sell Freeholds, if they do they are not cheap out of sisu range I would have thought.

I agree with all the comments on here from real sky blues fans. They can't sell the freehold due to 40 year contracts still to run and all of the above. Plus makes no sense as sisu wouldn't offer a real amount and apparently according to AL sisu knew this all along and I agree with her that sisu knew Ricoh wasn't for sale ever.

Sisu have finally been caught out and now have to either eat humble pie as the user above mentions or build their stadium and I'm 100% this won't happen. No financial sense at all as we all know.

ML sounded like a stumbling little kid this morning as I listened live. Kept going on about the Ricoh and then more talk about the Ricoh. What a loser. I thought the ship has sailed and we have moved on. Yes ok ML it's the 15th jan and you're still on about the Ricoh. Pathetic cretin

The only reason SISU can't pitch an offer is, they haven't got the money.

The Labour Party or Lib Dems?

Or maybe UKIP!! I reckon Nigel Farage would sort it all out in an instance!
