I'm sure the vast maority don't support the move there. They simply cannot bring themselves to not watch their club.

So why can't they DO something about their discontent...that's all I'm asking Nick. I'm not asking why they go, I'm asking why they don'y DO something about it while they're there, if they care!!!

Maybe they don't think it will make the slightest bit of difference? Maybe they just want to go and watch a game of football? If you care so much then get yourself on the hill with a big massive banner, people may not agree with everything people on the hill say but they are there in the wind and the rain without fail.

Do you agree with petrol prices? If not, why aren't you stood outside the nearest petrol station with a banner?

I certainly don't think a few banners would go amiss. Just something along the lines of the club returning to Coventry.

We should get banners and posters up at the game on Friday, bet BT Sport would like a little controversy at the game.
Also EVERYONE should pay a little visit yo the FL offices, write a letter and hand it in personally.

Sorry...I can't get passionate over petrol...if I chose to drive a car I live with it! Where's the passion for our club from the 'Sixfielders'? Not the passion for the football...I don't doubt that...FOR THE CLUB!!

That would mean that there is a reason to go rather than watch a game - you can go as a protestor - turn your back on the game if you wish. So as the likes of you, non league sky blue John the two tony's and astute all see yourselves as 21st century Tollpuddle martyrs why dont yiu all go wave banners and protest. I'm sure sisu will cave in and we will be at the Ricoh in a fortnight. You will a be heroes.

Have a word with yourself mate. GMK is the home of the more mature and level headed posters. Do you really believe what you have typed.

GMK is, and has always been (at least since I started going on there in the Strachan days) the home of a bunch of moany, cynical old men (in mind if not body) who think they are superior to the majority of City fans (That's why I spent so long on there ;)). A long time sport on there has been looking down on "the mongs". The place once was a great forum, until Knowl decided moderation is for other people and the trolls took over.

This Sixfields debacle plays right into that for them. "Mongs ranting", silly small town people not seeing the importance of big clever business, etc. etc.

Well, maybe some, but certainly not the majority. Be careful that the tar on your brush doesn't ruin the carpet.

I really don't think they do. Some people seem happier there away from all the hoi polloi, with the nice easy parking and the better class of individual present, and as this thread says, if they aren't happy about it, why don't they protest?

Oh, I see, so I'm using my son as a kind of "human shield" against the SISU death ray?

Let's start off a list of bullshit reasons mentioned for going to sixfields.....

1) using their kids as an excuse to go !
2) I just want to support the team not the regime !

Prove it not to be a fact that in the eyes of the world, Sisu and the football league. That the presence of 1500 supporters does not validate their decision to be playing home matches at sixfields ????????

You provided these so called facts, so surely it's for you to prove them.

It is an opinion. It is also an opinion that nobody other than CCFC fans and the odd hardcore football fan that in general fan really cares about us.

You may be right ...but what are YOU doing about it! I'm interested to know what you are doing to highlight YOUR discontent...

He's slagging of people who make suggestions, isn't that enough?

So he said "I am only taking my son as an excuse to go, he doesn't want to go but I am using him so that I can go and finger blast Tim Fisher" ?

or did he say

"I am going because me and my son want to go and I enjoy spending father and son time like me and my dad used to etc"

"Admitted"? Admitted what? Admission surely is a response to guilt? I've got nothing to feel guilty about. My sky blue mad son wants to see his team and I take him. Nothing more to be said.

Really? So the same applies to Cov fans not giving a shit about other teams and only really bothered about all things CCFC. If that is the case then why did some on here call Cov fans hypocrites for wanting to go and watch their football team against MK Dons?

Humour. When it comes to you and others on this board then humour isn't involved. There's no "real reason" for you to neatly label, box and shelve.

If you want to be dramatic and use humour to avoid the real reason.

Maybe they just want to go and watch a game of football. Nobody has to explain themselves to you?

Nick that is such a feeble, piss poor, weak justification for setting foot in a crappy cowshed of a stadium in Northampton to watch Coventry City's home games.

Yes, everyone is entitled to take whatever stance they want on this. They are free to do what they want but please don't attempt to justify attending Sixfields by saying 'Maybe they just want to go and watch a game of football.'

Surely given the dire state of CCFC, even you can see how such a statement will make the majority of fans fume at the selfish, short-sighted attitude of the few.

Funny I don't remember the CCFC board at the time going mental about MK Dons being moved. Or Luton getting relegated. Or Chester going out of business. Or Scarborough, etc etc

"Justification" isn't needed. Only you, SBK, SBJ, Astutue, Spion and a myriad of others think it is. Otis is "saddened" by it. Not sure if that's the same thing.

No he probably wanted to take his son to share quality time and in the hope his son can see him shake Tim Fishers hand.

People don't need to justify though, that is the thing.

I've got a loud voice I think I need to go and just shout and sing all the way through the game about our Coventry homes and ask Tim when we will be returning to the Ricoh. Do you think I would be ejected, arrested, booed or ignored?

True, he was probably queued up to shake Gary Hoffman and Joe Elliott's hand too like they were heros. He was probably also at the charity game doing the "worship" actions at Joe Elliott when he walked on the pitch.

To be fair, and strictly in the interest of balance, wasn't the "Portsmouth WTF" thread or whatever it was that lasted over a million pages and was commented on and bumped over and over all about having a go at Pompy for their ability to trade while insolvent, don't seem to remember too much sympathy for them then.
