Leon - frustrated with Sky Blues ! (13 Viewers)

From what I've heard this rumour is not Leon's doing. It's coming from two sources, his agent and Wolves themselves. Talking to a few people last night apparently Wolves have contacted him (via his agent) and told him to get City to lower the price. Apparently his agent has a few Wolves players and is based in the Black country.

Not interested in what his agent is doing.
I am more interested in what Leon wasn't doing compared to the rest of the team last night.

Funny breed football fans, Leon Clarke our best centre forward since relegation from the Premier League, delivers goals galore and is hero worshipped. Since signing he has had to endure the Sixfields saga something he hadn't banked on when he joined. So our fans slag him from hero to zero. Ask yourselves given the choice what would you choose given the option the shed at Northamton with1500/2000 or Molyneux with 20000+ No brainer isn't it

I have followed his career since Sheff We'd never really rated him although he has come good for Scunthorpe and us....because now playing at the right level.

He frustrates me because for every good point he has two faults. I wouldn't begrudge him his move to Wolves but he let his team mates down last night....due to lack of effort.

You are trying to defend the indefensible. Last night Leon had four clear cut chances and made woeful attempts
to score, he even contrived to hit the post when it was easier to score.
The sad thing is if Wolves had anybody watching last night he didn't do his chances any good. We need players
who want to play for the Club not mercenaries who are just after the next buck.

The one where he hit the post wasn't even an easy chance thpugh. 18 yards out, ball rolled back to him, taking it first time on his weaker foot through bodies. If he'd had planted it in the corner which he nearly did it would have been a brilliant finish

To be fair our last 3 hero's have shit on us so why should he be any different.

Come to Cov resurrect your career think you are better then you are then flop again after your move.

But you are right who in their right mind actually enjoys or wants to play in a shed of a ground.

Leon Clarke is not even our best want away striker since the Premiership, let alone the best striker.

Get someone else in and if nobody wants him let him fester up the memorial Park.

You're wrong.

I would politely suggest it is you who is wrong. Best striker since relegation? I would take mcgoldrick, jutkiewicz, boothroyd (say what you like he's an England international) mcsheffrey in his pomp, John, Mifsud 07/08 season, best, king ALL better than clark at this level in my opinion.

If he wants to leave fine, don't blame him, but while he's under contract he should conduct himself on and off the pitch a lot better.

Agree to disagree. It is not in his interest at all to not score !.

"Hit the post when it was easier to score" ?. really ?

I am not happy he handed in a request, just saying I dont think he was that bad last night.

If Clarke wasn't trying, or wasn't carrying out team instructions, then why did Pressley keep him on the pitch? Are you saying that Pressley is a poor manager?

I think Pressley has shown that if players don't pull their weight the shrift they receive is rather short, so I assume the manager was happy, and that's good enough for me.

Or there's no one else to play? Wilson injured, Manset gone. Even Slager is behind Jordan Clarke in the pecking order for striker

I think the Sky Blues are equally as frustrated at Leon at the moment. Hopefully it is resolved one way or other for the benefit of the team ... 6 days left for that to happen anyway

You agree with Pressley that Clarke was doing the job required at the required level, fortunately a replacement wasn't necessary.

Personally, I wanted LC off, I thought Moussa was playing very well. But he took Moussa off for Jordan, I guess saving him for Tuesday?

Maybe SP is trying to burn Leon out?

........anybody think Leon will be 'injured' for Tuesday night's game? - my vote says yes!

I think it was more of a case of Pressley leaving him on in the hope he fluked a goal and thus increase his value. As already mentioned the hard work of his team mates presented him with the opportunity to do so and he has only discredited himself and made the transfer more precarious by being so wasteful

He's been fantastic while he's been here so I don't bear him any ill. As I've said previously the world won't end when he leaves. Before you know it we'll have a new hero.

Well he was in the shop window last night,Baker did himself well but sadly for us Leon's performance was like someone with a lot on their mind, his last shot was a pass-back.
Hopefully Wolves release him from this torrid time at CCFC and give it 6 months and he'll be after another move I bet.

Actually - thinking about the L Orient away game, SP should play Leon. If he is going to Wolves, SP should point out that L Orient are Wolves biggest rivals for automatic promotion - so he should run his nuts off and give 100%. Even Wolves would be p*ssed off with him if he doesn't try and we get beat. A win win situation for us? :thinking about::D

I would ask whether you've ever wanted to leave a job to get a better one, but from the way you form sentences it's not clear whether you've done the whole school thing yet.
