According to the Rotherham chairman, they're looking for £500,000 for ALF, so that makes it a bit clear we never even put a bid in for him!

Sheffield Wed offered £200k that they don't have and it was turned down. Wed believe they need another £50k to get him but can't. They have no money, can't field a full team on Saturday with no number 7 or 11. They were beaten 14-0 last week in a friendly and Megson has his work cut out!

Fact is IF we could bid above £250k then perhaps they will indeed release him. I imagine a bid of £350 would do it. The player steps up the league and would welcome the opportunity.

This is an interesting position for anybody who still holds delusions of grandeur about the City. We are all on red alert waiting for news, scouring the internet for anything about us signing a half million quid lower league player. How times have changed

What I find annoying is the fact that if they miss out on signing LeFondre for 500k it would be a MASSIVE opportunity for the club to improve a little fan/board relations.
End of the day there has been large support for the LeFondre bid so bringing him in should make a lot of fans happy for what must be considered a low amount of cost when you think about the good it will do for the boards reputation! Also, at 500k, cant really see his value dropping (unless we loose him on a free!!) and only increasing as time goes on. So it HAS to be a winning situation all round.
On a side note (which I am sure has been mentioned before i started coming on here) - I really don't think the club have been given the credit they deserve in signing up Murphy for the season. I have a feeling he'll be better than Westwood over the next few years!

hmmm lets wait and see, I only said I knew the meeting about investment was today so it could still be that they need Sisu to sign off on any fee for Lefondre and as stated in my other post McFadden needs to agree to a wage drop before anything will happen on that one. We still have three weeks of transfer window left so it does not have to happen today.

Yep thats right deals don't need to be rushed yet as there are Weeks till the window closes, but it would be nice to have reinforcements before Saturday
Jutkiewicz said he was fit on his twitter page, keogh at play right back and Wood at centre back plus Baker and Bell are likely to be fit meaning no academy players.
