what on earth ?

Surely if we are going to ofer anyone new deals it would be Sammy and Craine ?

What has McPake done to deserve a place in the team, never mnd a new deal ?

Any proof of this ?

We wonder why we'll never achieve anything. It's about time we got rid of clowns like these who struggle to play 20 games a season. While were at it why don't we offer extensions to Baker & Deegan.

Wash ur mouth out!
he broke his back for us!

Ha !!!!

Yer, thats right, he broke his back for CCFC..

OR, he injured himself when going in committed whilst doing his job for "insert club name here"

......

Frogatt lost his carrer playing for us, and I feel for the guy, but I wouldnt give him a new contract either !

Surely Deegan comes under the term "clowns like these who struggle to play 20 games a season"

Or was you being sarcastic?

To be fair to them, David Bell has been very good since AT came in. He suits the diamond formation where he is more central and actually, has outshone Carl Baker.
James McPake is a terrific defender when he's available. Though I agree, he isn't the most reliable fitness-wise. Calling them clowns is a touch harsh mate.

I wouldn't say that Baker and Deegan have done enough to deserve new deals either. Even less so than Bell and McPake IMO.

Agreed, Clowns appear a lot more than 10 times as season !

I think that was sarcasm guys :p

Clingan and Cranie must be the priorities, but you can only sign players who want to sign, could be the more saleable assets will hold out until at least Jan to see what else is on offer.

i bet them 2 signed on the dotted line 2/3 more years of sitting on their arse while injured all the time!

so we are signing players on contract extensions because they had 4-5 slightly above average games against teams who were playing for nothing, what about the other 2-3 years they have both been here and done nothing?? Outshining Carl Baker isn't anything to write home about either, another garbage player who cov fans seem to love. Whats going to happen tomorrow, Eastwood getting a 5 year extension based on that 1 good game he had against portsmouth last season??

It's all good though, if your happen to watch that shite then thats what the club with continue to serve up, & yes they are all clowns, paint there faces white, stick a red nose on, dye their hair and sell them to the next carnival that rolls into town.

I've always rated Bell, think a few on here are being a bit harsh. They'd be the first to complain that we let players go for nothing.

McPake has ability but can't stay fit I'd agree.

Are these the first players to sign extensions whilst SISU have been here???

Both are injury prone and I could live without McPake - we have plenty of centre halves and I rate Turner, Cranie and Wood ahead of him.

Were you being sarcastic about Baker and Deegan is your original post then, because you've gone from saying that Bell/McPake shouldn't have got deals ahead of Baker/Deegan to now saying that Baker is rubbish aswell. All I was saying is that it is harsh calling them clowns, just because they have had injury problems. McPake is actually a very good defender when he's fit and playing. In terms of 'defending', he's probably the best we have, he's just not technically the best of footballers with the ball.
At the end of the day, we are going to have to make do with the players we have, because we simply cannot go out and spend money, whether it be on transfer fees or signing on fee's/wages for new players. Correct me if I'm wrong..........

Good news this.

They've both had their injury problems but I'd still rather they stay then players like Baker and Wood who have been too inconsistent. Bell and McPake impress when fit more often than not. :guitar2:

Bell's also one of the most technically gifted players in our squad and I think he'll be a lot better under Thorn's management.

Yes i was being sarcastic, can't believe you had to ask. It's no good employing somebody who can't play half the season, because you will then have to employ another player who will need to fill in, McPake is average at best. he flies into challenges and gives 100% but hes far from a very good defender. Hes very replaceable.

It's not about going out and spending money, it's about spending what money you have wisey and offering contracts to these two is just a terrible piece of business, for one if we let there contracts run out we already have replacements for them, we would have money to bring in better players. Now we are tied down to two injury prone players. The board know they can take the piss when they see the fans giving players like Gunnarsson and Doyle player of the year awards, & it's no wonder players like Westwood & Dann jump ship at the first opportunity they have.

Fair enough. I'm not arguing, just a difference in opinion. Each to their own eh mate. :)

McPake - 31 games in 2 and a half years !!!!!!!!

maybe he has been unlucky with injuries since he joined us...

So, lets look at the rest of this career...

Oh, thats right....

133 apprearances in 9 years !!!!

Must be Christmas Day in the McPake household..

:claping hands:

Makes David (nearly 20 games a season) Bell look almost like Graham Alexander...

Mcpake is a quality defender and is class at this level. If he is fit he is in the first team no doubt in mind.

Bell has obvious quality but often goes missing for large parts of game. People could argue that this is because under previous managers the ball has gone over his head alot and bypassed the midfield but I think at this level Bell is a good squad player at best.

No mate, the young lads (Cameron, Clarke, Wilson, Ireland etc), Ben Turner and Gary McSheffrey have recently. I'm sure there would have been a few before aswell.
