Birmingham fans are celebrating after owner Carson Yeung resigned as chairman, director and president.

Supporters are praying the news could lead to an imminent sell off.

The businessman bought Birmingham in 2009 and has overseen relegation from the premier league- and major cuts to the playing staff.

He will probably relocate the club to Worcester and liquidate the club.

Yep they own their ground don't they?
Sell up for redevelopment and take the proceeds

I cant see him doing whats right for the fans, can you? If I was a blues fan I would expect the worse.

End of season not far away, sell best players and cash in and sell st Andrews then he will leave.

We need to get the blues fans on board? This petition has got to be done for everyone who is a fan, and the FL have got to be seen as unfit to govern their own organization

Birmingham will sell their ground and co-locate to the Ricoh next season - its closer to them than the sixfields is to us

Apparently his aim was to be the worst owner of all time.
However he realised this was now far far out if his reach and uncontainable

In 2013, the Birmingham City Supporters' Trust's application for listing St Andrew's as an Asset of Community Value (ACV) under the Localism Act 2011 was approved by Birmingham City Council.[66] The legislation defines an ACV as a building or other land whose main use "furthers the social wellbeing or social interests of the local community" and where it is realistic to believe it could do so in the future.[67] It requires any proposed sale to be notified to the Council, and provides for a six-month moratorium on that sale to allow the Trust and other community groups to submit their own bid.[66]

Just like us, the stadium is key. Clubs can be restarted, stadiums are hard to come by. It would be interesting to see the outcome of the ACV, and who ends up controlling St.Andrews (should the situation develop to this point).
