I think you will find that some on banning orders do get stopped from entering grounds. Also, police use cameras in the grounds for looking at fans who may pose a problem and ones on banning orders are arrested and at the very least have their bans extended. It just depends on what the banning orders are for, if it is for a 'shirter' giving abuse to opposing fans outside the away end then the police/club probably couldn't give a shit, but if it is a convicted hooligan then the police/club would and do give a shit.

Many hundreds of Preston fans (some known hooligans) invade the pitch against Blackpool in August in plain sight with very good quality pictures. Not just a protest or a laugh but intent to cause disorder and confront opposing fans, how many banning orders have been dished out to hundreds of ticket paying customers in this case? If the law is the law, then use it fairly, not just on the ones it is easy to single out.

The Preston fans were acknowledging the Blackpool fans offer to join them over there,very friendly I think . Wher our fan went wrong was attacking stewards and police,look how many it took to get him off the pitch and away,I agree hanging is too good for him. Well there are at least 6 that go on our coach to away games we all sat together at the Ricoh block 16 have never had a problem with fans that go into sixsheds just the few on here.

They have the right to refuse admission if they want to. They can't stop it for away games without it going to court. But for the home games it is on their own property so it is up to them..........hold on.........wouldn't NTFC have to ban him as it is their property?
If they have given him an infinite ban it will last a few lifetimes. We are finding out how long a few SISU months are and we are about to find out how long three SISU weeks are.

Quite simple Nick. I would say that the vast majority of people don't hate Timothy. They hate the part he has played in bringing our club to it's knees. They hate the part he has played on taking our club to Northampton. They don't like the lies he keeps feeding us like with this new ground that is being built. Whereas others don't give a shit about him as it isn't his fault. It is the fault of CCC/Higgs/Richardson or anyone else who had a say in things before SISU took over.
Or do you think it was Joy who sorted out the move to Northampton?

Getting banned from Northampton isn't a bad thing IMHO. But the problem is that the ban can be carried over to the Ricoh if and when we come home. Maybe a new owner would look at it sympathetically, but there is no sign of a new owner ATM.
He may have done it for what he sees as for the good of the future of our club, but he still knew that he was breaking the law. And we could soon lose the sympathy building up if we keep having supporters going on the pitch every game. We need to keep our clubs plight in the spotlight, but it would be best if we could keep it within the law.

Based on this I assume it has already been through the courts and he has been found guilty and the club is only enforcing the punishment ordered by the court?
Some strange comments on this thread, people going on about players being attacked and stabbed bears no relation to what happened. This chap appeared to wait until he wouldn't be interfering in play. Made his protest and waited for the stewards to take him off. He didn't even try to evade them, in fact they took so long to get to him a couple of our players went over and gave him a hug - didn't seem like they were fearful of being stabbed. Once the stewards got to him and he was led away in front of the Arsenal fans he got clapped by the majority of them.
As others have said while some supporters get bans for going on the pitch many others get thrown out of the ground and never even get as far as going to court, some of those who do go to court just get a slap on the wrist. While that's not our clubs fault it shows why they would have been wise to wait until this had been dealt with by the court.
In most cases you would expect a sliding scale of punishment based on things such as the severity of the crime and the circumstances. Looking at this case I would have him at the lower end of the scale. The sensible thing for the club to do would have been to wait until the court dictated a punishment and act on that. How are the club going to look if the court gives him no punishment or a six month ban when they have said indefinite? Once again we have something that should be fairly routine and straightforward handled in such a bizarre way by the club that it leaves them open to accusation.
Of course at the end of the day most bans are pretty much unenforceable apart from the bans that involve reporting to a police station during matches. Unless he gets himself in trouble again he will most likely get away with going to away games.

Think our owners should have just let the law take it's course, he may get a ban there he may not, all that's happened now is it looks like bullying jumping the gun to show everyone how tough they are and possibly produced a bit of a martyr wouldn't be surprised if this makes the nationals giving sisu more bad publicity.

I'm sure the perpetrator will not want it making the nationals either given his apparantly rather interesting political persuasion.
