Block 15 always seems to have a better atmo with one, cause its a decent size not to small and not to big, the huge ones are awful as they over power the singing

Bad.

As is music when we've just scored. Just say no to America!!!!

i think if we manage to score this year we'll get marching bands, red arrows doing a fly over and Mariah Carey coming from under the centre circle to do a song!

I don't hate the chanting, I just think that chant is shite. I don't hate young supporters just think they can be embarrasing at times, and I just think the whole "Leicester is a massive rival" attitude that some people have makes the club look embarrasing, and if it's such a big derby why are our ticket sales for tomorrow piss poor?

cause we have poor support?

we have a good hardcore of support that will be there whenever/whatever 11/12 thousand odd. The rest will come if we start doing well in a league and they've been waiting 40 years for that now!

I love drums. I'm a big fan of the American style entertainment. I went to an NBA game a few years ago and they had drums, people shooting t-shirts into the crowds, fireworks, light displays, mascots, music, even indoor blimps. There were free shirts for the first few hundred people that turn up and the team have people taking photos of the fans for the teams website. We did mexican waves, had a few sing-a-longs and hell there were people in the crowd dancing and making fools of themselves during time-outs because they didn't run the risk of getting into a scuffle. Everyone got on with everyone.

It was amazing. Entertainment from start to finish. The atmosphere there honestly was better than ANYTHING else I've experienced.

Would love to see that sort of thing over here but to be honest, football fans can't even be trusted to sit with one other. At the basketball I sat next to one of the other teams biggest fans and instead of bickering we shared a few jokes, had a good laugh and when the team I supported won he shook my hand, congratulated me and said they'd come back stronger next time.

Sport in America is easily a better experience than sport over here.

One example to sum up our support would be Wimbledon in 96 season I think it was, we needed to win to stay up and we tok 14,000 fans to Selhurst Park. Our fans come out of the woodwork in exciting/dangerous times but we've been put through 40 odd years of mediocrity, can you blame people for staying away!

The carnival de paris song? That hasn't been good since 1998, one of the worst songs around at football grounds and totally unoriginal

Do you even like any song the C D P is a great way to have what many fans like to do when getting a goal having a goood time!!

Far from it. Sport in the UK as a whole experience is rather dull and tedious. The American's have the hang of turning a sport into a real show. It's family friendly, loads of fun for everyone and you remember it all a hell of a lot more than something over here. With a game of football in the UK you get a game of football.....nothing more. Go to watch a sport in the USA and not only do you get the sport, you also get a show, an experience. Something to remember and talk about.

I can guarantee you the experience would be even more special and memorable with the sort of experience you get with sport in the USA. We seem to be far too traditional and just go for the 'watch the sport, go home' approach. Look at the way Cricket has embraced the spirit of making it about more than just the Cricket. People dress up, drums, songs, dancers. Cricket in India even have the fireworks etc.

Watching your team win is great, especially on nights like the ones you've mentioned, but there's just something really special about putting it together with a whole package of entertainment and fun.

So you would prefer playing at the Burger king Arena home of the Coventry KFC Allstars, with a stop in play every five minutes for a commercial break, everyone has to sit down obviously and swearing is not allowed in case it upsets familys. And as for atmosphere....

They have to, most of their sport's last hours and hours. Football is 90 mins with a 15 break - Basketball has 3 breaks AND time outs.

And as for the fans together argument, it's better being segregated - more chants etc. If we were intergrated the away fans wouldn't get any songs going and the home fans wouldn't respond. And we can sit together - areas @ Fulham, Forrest etc where fans can mix, no away areas in non-league football and Rugby fans get along fine.

Burger King arena......? You do realise we play at the 'Ricoh Arena' aka the printer company arena......
The 'stops in play' allow time to discuss decisions and get some banter on the go. Everyone doesn't 'have to' sit down, they do it in courtesy of the other viewers, a concept us Brits don't seem to understand.

I love how you pick one moment from one game involving a pretty average team to highlight lack of atmosphere......that's like comparing Sheffield Wednesday with Chelsea....nowhere near alike.

I know which ones looks better to me......and it ain't the first one! (The NFL game was at Wembley, just to prove we could do it in the UK)

The average NBA game last about 2 and a bit hours. Football is nearly 2. It's not an excessive difference. Sitting together with other fans adds a difference experience. It's not all about singing a song anyway, more the general experience.

Football doesn't have times out's or 3 scheduled breaks though.

I love the NFL and was at that game at Wembley (sat not too far away from that position too) and I was left totally disapointed with the atmosphere. However, as fans from all 32 teams were there (and not fans dedicated only to the 2 competing teams) I didn't want to judge soley on that - would love to take in an NFL game over there.

You do realise the whole reason football is on a long winding road to destruction is because it has be come more americanised? Paying players massive wage bills that they don't deserve and hiking up ticket prices so that the average working man can't afford to attend games anymore, for an example of this see OPR. As for showing courtesy for other fans well we used to have a system called terracing which meant that people who wanted to stand could without getting in the way of the minority who sat, now people are trying too bring safe standing into the game the powers that be won't have it. Probably because it would mean cheaper ticket prices and it's harder to control people when they are stood on a terrace. Also I am well aware of where we play, I think it's shite but there's nothing I can do about it

This is what football is all about, a working man's game for the working man
