There has been no mention of the 3 month Grace fund shirt sponsorship being extended, but the logo was still on the shirt at Notts County.
As the 'Grace' shirts were first worn on Oct 13th, that is now 4 months.

The Grace Research Fund will adorn Sky Blues shirts for the next three months
Coventry City Football Club has teamed up with medical charity the Grace Research Fund.

The new partnership will see the fund’s logo feature on the Sky Blues’ shirts for the next three months.

Nice that the club let the charity remain on the shirts.

I don't disagree with that decision, I'm actually pointing out that the club can't get a commercial shirt sponsor who is happy to be associated with it, instead they hide behind a charity.
That is an awful state of affairs for a 3rd division club and shows how low this club has been brought.

Even Cov Sphinx have a commercial organisation who are happy to sponsor their shirts.

oh dear Nick. Isn't that the point, they can get a one game sponsor when its on tele v a large premiership club, but apart from that one of game, no-one wants to have their name on the club shirt and be associated with us.

If they can get two for one game why can't they get one that is happy to pay and be shown the rest of the time?

we are the only league club that doesn't have a full season sponsorship, but hey, we got two in one game when we were on tele !

Apart from the game where millions of people saw them associated with our team on TV?

I very much doubt it is down to "people not wanting to be associated with SISU" that we don't have one though.

Is Sisu the club today or not? It changes everyday.

Either way, it's pathetic that we can't/haven't got a sponsor. Embarrassment of a club at the moment.

We have never been the greatest prize for potential shirt sponsors, but we always ended up managing to get one.

I don't think that you have to be "rabidly anti-SISU" or an "ACL Stormtrooper" (apologies if I haven't got the approved descriptions right :)), to conclude that moving the club to Northampton and alienating the majority of its supporters might just have something to do with our current difficulties in that direction.

Barcelona didn't have a paying shirt sponsor until 2013! What a basket case of a club!

(This is tongue in cheek by the way before anyone loses their shit.)

We're also the only league club that plays 35miles away from the place they represent. The only league club that is better supported at away matches than home matches...& the only one that began the season with a points deduction.
At least we aren't the only ones abandoned by the football authorities though eh? We are not alone.

Does no-one else find it slightly odd that CBRE are our sponsors and CBRE are also looking for land for Sisu?

Could we have paid for any new stadium work with free advertising for CBRE? Even if not, it does seem the corporate/sponsorship side of the club has got kind of incestuous recently.

Or that CBRE "our sponsors" decided to give that space to a worthy cause!
And let that be their payment for any work done towards any kind of stadium.
Good will and good gesture again overlooked cause they are working for the devil!

Don't worry. I see myself as being neutral. That is in the way of looking at the information and deciding for myself what the truth is. The only problem is that SISU have tried feeding us crap a fair few times and I haven't seen where CCC have done the same. So of course I speak out about the crap and when they get defended with more crap :D

Perhaps we should club together and sponsor the shirts ourselves. We could call the syndicate All Coventry Lads. It's a bit long for the shirt but could be abbreviated to ACL.

Have found one that might be happy to be associated with the club our builders.

Point? Who is gaining from this arrangement?

Well the way I see it, SISU pay CBRE fees, some of which goes to sponsor a shirt, but they don't want their name on it so a charity goes on and they get some publicity.

Now my question, why can't CCFC get a commercial shirt sponsor, why are hey (indirectly) paying to sponsor their own shirts.

Maybe some way of bending the FFP rules.

That would be my guess. They can pretty much put any price down for any work done and "claim it back" in sponsorship. And it has been funny how we've kept a reasonably competitive squad with such poor income (not that I'm complaining!).

I'm not convinced any other potentially play off hopefuls have had to play a right back up front this season

Fair point. Of course no other team has had their income severely reduced and we do have a few high earners in there, though Clarke going probably helped a lot.

Oh i hope not .Points deduction next season as well if found guilty of it.

I said bending not breaking. Say what you like about the owners but if there's a way round restrictive red tape they'll find it.
