Last weekend I posted the petition on the Sunderland website.

For those who witnessed that experience via my link it was an interesting experience - it shows prejudice, hatred, total single minded devotion to one cause.

It leads me to ask myself some questions regarding "typical" fan behaviour and I draw the following conclusions;

Sunderland fans would achieve 100,000 signatures to a petition very easily

Sunderland fans would not ever make any posts about a management company if it owned the ground -they are only interested in the club.

If the stadium was vacant and hosted any match involving Newcastle under 21's then any forum member even mentioning this in less than utter damnation would need police protection

If the club was no longer in Sunderland due to a rental dispute I would envisage that a lot if fans would still attend even if 34 miles away BUT the owners would be very absent.

No council window would be left unbroken and no councillor who tried to defend the position would even seek re-election

Any poster even attempting to quote statistics to defend the council and its management company would quickly decide that emigration is a suitable course of action.

Fans really do give you the club and the circumstances of that club that you deserve.

So why do you post about a management company, why aren't you attending Sixfields, how many council windows have you broken anything else?

Do you think if either if those had council owned stadia there would be one fan of theirs who cared about the council or a management company?

Are you advocating violence Grendel?

No. I also forgot one other point. If a Sunderland version of PWKH existed I don't think he'd be posting on there for very long.

I had the misfortune of living in Sunderland for a while and it was like going back in time. The locals are the most bigoted, racist, misogynistic, homophobic and thick bunch of underclass scum you will ever come across.

Are these the same fans Grendel that wish death on a nice old man because of a game of football 35 years ago?

so you started a thread on the Sunderland forum to get yourself lots of attention, now it's time for another one here to get yourself the same attention? bored at work with your friends again? roaring with laughter because you manage to wind people up on a forum by posting inflammatory nonsense, what a clever lot you are.

When are you going to realise the reality, as fans (supporters) we don't have either the pleasure or the privilege of choosing or selecting who our owners are! Over almost 60 years I haven't particularly any of them, bar one and even he had 'baggage',

APPLIES TO ALL CLUBS, including the two above but also probably dozens of others so either accept the situation and get on with it or stop moaning and have nothing to do with the club or team.

Other parties involved here are equally or even possibly more to blame but as I've previously said, playing the blame game is futile IMHO!

We need to move on and look forward whoever owns the club and support the manager & the team PUSB!

So you don't believe in holding those responsible to account?

Are you angry at what has been done to your club?

Bloody hell - I'll go with you for some of the blame but MORE - you sir are clearly deluded in the extreme - enjoy the line when they have significantly gone over it and you turn round and there is no-one to stand up for you!

The Romans would pack the Ricoh every week, a few lions, slaves and Christians would see that place back to it's best, Someone pitch it to the council.

They sound reasonable.

How long do you think Fisher would last on their forums?

they new how to build a good stadium and they built em all over the place. according to one ancient manuscript they argued that 12500 capacity was more than enough and under no circumstance should the seats be the same colour as the gladiators armour because its confusing for the lions. its also not viable unless you have the profit from the Larks' tongues, Wrens' livers, Chaffinch brains, Jaguars' earlobes and Wolf nipple chips sales

Of course, Grendandy ignores the obvious point in his jaunty metaphor here; namely the way the Sunderland fans would react if their owners - for no valid reason - moved their 'home' games to Darlington?!? People who posted thinly veiled support for such a regime, as Grendandy and his sycophants often do, wouldn't be given time of day, and as such, his parallel lacks the depth of thought that really should be entered into before committing such a flawed mindset to the written word.

As crazed an argument as I've ever seen. Even from the lowly origins I'd expect of the original poster...

Everyone knows that the Roman Empire collapsed because these were subcontracted out to a Senate run quango.

If you just try and blame those marauding barbarians for its collapse then your biased and your opinion is invalid.

So are you saying those that attend Sixfields deserve nothing better?

Bit harsh on them, they only want to see a game of football.

It's bad enough hearing quintessential charmers Leeds and Millwall continually held up as a shining example, but fucking Sunderland too? They've got chronic back problems from the chips on their shoulders.

Some of ours aren't too nice either. Wishing car crashes on those who attend Sixfields for example.

Are these the same fans Grendel that wish death on a nice old man because of a game of football 35 years ago?
