Hoffman offered to pay the rent for 3-5 years.

Council offered free rent then 2 years at 100k.

But no thats not good enough for SISU.

They would rather slum it losing more in Northampton.

Correct. The decision was made by ACL to not accept the CVA, for what or who's benefit nobody has ever explained.

ACL’s motivation for rejecting the CVA was about much more than pure financial interest. Along with various other parties, ranging from Sky Blues fans and Supporters Direct through to local MPs and potential bidders, ACL was not happy with the way the administration process was run.

Accepting the CVA would have been a tacit approval of a process that few people save Sisu and the administrator had any faith in. Along with HMRC, ACL rejected the CVA.


We did so because we have significant doubts about how the process has been managed – particularly with new evidence that the administrator should have been aware of coming to light on an almost weekly basis.

You may not agree with why they did it, but there's your explanation for why they did it.

As to why we ended up in a position where this deduction could have happened, that's easy - our owners chose not to pay the rent.

If ACL didn't file then who know's what may have happened. But the above is a stone cold fact.

All this rubbish about ACL/Council being responsible for our 10 point deduction is just that RUBBISH. If Shitzu had paid the rent which they agreed to upon buying CCFC or alternatively entered into meaningful discussions and negotiations regarding the rent we would not be in this position now. Any other interpretation of events is plainly wrong.

Ooh that reminds me of the Maverick bars they launched when I was at Uni, I could eat those like there was no tomorrow - a king size bar before a night out was perfect and always had a spare somewhere in the bedroom just in case I was hungry when I got home.

I think we will have less chance next season. Mousse and Christie both out of contract with Clarke already gone it's going to be another rebuilding job. I lived on Lion bars in the early 1970's when I worked at the old Morris Engines on what is now the AT7 site. Probably why they aren't around any more. Lion bars also nice but not a patch on a Maverick. Used to try and make myself think they were slightly healthy because they had fruit in.

Eleven Points off it's not impossible but the results will really need to go our way with respect to the teams above us and with 17 games remaining we will need to win at least 14 to stand a chance IMO.

Side stepping the rutting stags on this thread who want to wallow in the politics yet again (important yes, but non of you are saying anything new).

Pressley again gets it right. The play off places are probably slipping out of reach, unless we go on a 7 or 8 game run.

He is right to see this season as a building block for next season. We need to get into the top four bracket which we aren't at the moment (even if the ten points were given back). So we are a little short at the moment, but we have come a long way this season on the playing field at least.

Against County I was really disappointed with Baker (never been that convinced about him although he can have flashes of brilliance). It wasn't so much his poor performance, it was his role as captain...I saw no leadership. We are a very quiet team on the pitch.

Moussa who I do rate, was too easily marked out the game and I feel he is more effective from midfield. I think we desperately need Fleck in the middle, we are never the same without him. But I would like to see Pressley give him and Barton a go together in the middle.

Adams who often looks steady and accomplished seems to fall apart when he has a player who is happy to take him on and run at him. Confidence seems to drain from him when he has that sort of opponent.

Want to see more of the Fonz. The service he got was shocking on Saturday. He showed one or two decent flicks and touches but in areas on the pitch where it wasn't going to do any damage. Early days with the loan players.

Despite the above, it is widely rumoured that ACL did indicate they would accept the CVA, provided SISU agreed to a contrast sitting outside the remit of the administration process pertaining to the football club staying at the Ricoh, with a new rent level on a short term basis. And this was turned down.

Forget Fernando saying he's never seen an explanation as to why the CVA was rejected, as it's been on here many times, but seemingly invisible to those who don't want to acknowledge it - but there's a bigger question they should answer - and that's Torchy, Grenduffy, city4life, RFU, edgey - all of them; and it's this:

If, as rumoured, a deal was offered which would have seen ACL agree to the CVA, which would have kept CCFC at the Ricoh on a medium term contract and on reduced rentals AND avoid the 10 point deduction, and this was refused by SISU; who's really to blame?

Yes, it was rumoured; I can't find any references to it, but let's stay with it as being a condition for the purposes of debate. Will you now answer the question?

Exit CVA with ACL's blessing, no 10 point deduction, still playing at the Ricoh and the JR behind us. Is that a deal so bad for SISU that they has to refuse the offer and take us to Northampton?

to be fair i dont think anyone would have thought we would at anypoint be in touching distance of the playoffs this year. We have had some smashing results but definitly a level of inconstancy with results and performances. Young players will tend to be more up and down in there performances than a player who is a lttle older.

Players like Fleck and Wilson have kicked on this year. If they up there performances again next term be a big help. Moussa and Baker tend to be great in some games and missing in others. Losing Clarke will mean that the season is effectively over from a playoff point of view. We need to focus on getting players games and experinces and see what Pressley can do in the summer. If they can bring in a few more players and improve the squad and its depth then we will have a fighting chance of play offs next year.

think we can beat anyone in this divison on our day but we can also lose to anyone when we play poorly as shown by Notts county.

Hmm, while I agree with much of what you put.

Setting in context, the team has played superbly this season and overachieved. Also, the style of football's to be applauded.

Absolutely however, just comparing the team, if anything we've gone backwards from Robins' efforts IMHO, I'd have less confidence in us making the playoffs now than I would have done under Robins.

Building blocks for next season? Absolutely. So I hope the loanees are with a view to a permanent transfer or, if the playoffs are out of reach, all we're doing is getting them match fit and up to speed for somebody else.

Nervous about next season as, while I'm all for the youth and a small squad, we appear to be overdoing both just at the moment. And Pressley shifting his stance on loan players so rapidly concerns slightly.

There is no conspiracy here I asked nicely to lay off a particular subject that had annoyed some people. This continued today whilst I am at work and therefore not able to see everything posted and I may have missed the odd post.
