Nothing to be ashamed of (5 Viewers)

We very narrowly lost to a £15-20m team fielding two 17 year olds and from what I saw having most of the possession - we certainly had them pinned back in their own half for the majority of the first half. We just lacked a bit of sharpness up top. If we still had King we may well have been 2 goals to the good at half time.*

You'd think Leicester had already won the league with their reaction at the end though. They looked like they were ready to bring babies onto the pitch followed an open top bus parade!

Haha like it about the open top bus parade and the babies. You're a funny guy!

Seriously though - it was ridiculously over the top. Also - has anyone ever seen such a bunch of wankers and cheats?!

How about just f*ck you SISU? I was pleased with us today. I think people are getting upset mainly because we lost to Leicester. Thorn and the boys are playing some great stuff. All we need now is SISU to piss off and things will be good.

I hope the England team didn't play like this under sven and we was all just blind to it, got to say incest have gone even further down (somehow) in my books with that performance today

They're a moaning bunch of sods those Leicester players aren't they? If I was the ref I'd have booked half the team after the sending off on principle. Reminded me of when Prem teams have come to the Ricoh and spent all game moaning at the ref. Hate to see that shit in the Championship.

Agree though, we held our own today and but for a striker rather than a useless lump partnering Juke (or Baker not having a rush of blood to the head) we would have won.

 I would say our best chance was when Juke was running through and had a poor shot saved by Schmeichal. I agree with what Thorn is trying to do but we were predictable today, never looked like scoring and the people who are meant to create chances Bell, Baker and Sheffers did absolutely nothing for 90 mins.

I thought Leicester were poor today also regardless of how much money they spent, just because the result was against a team that have invested does not make our own performance any better.

Key thing here is that we don't still have King.

>Implying our performance wasn't nulling incests own game

the tippy tappy stuff around was alright I suppose, we wasnt attacking very well but neither were they because they didn't have the ball, esp first half 11 and 10 men. Not gunna lie though Hoff's 30 mill is certainly looking sexy at the minute

Thing is I thought both teams were poor but people keep saying "We only lost 1-0 to the pre season favourites" as if this statement makes our performance seem better. People seem to confuse Long ball = Defensive Short passing = Attacking . We played a short passing game today but we did not play an attacking game. Players like Mcsheffery, Bell and Baker who we are reliant on to create chances didn't perform today and that is where the game was lost or at the very least why we didn't look like scoring. The defence was ok, gael and sammy played ok and Juke led the line well holding up the ball etc.
If 2/3 I mentioned performed today we would have had a much better game and ran Leicester much closer than we did.

That's the thing. I think we did all we could bearing in mind the circumstances we're under. Without wanting to state the obvious, If SISU sell anymore of our players we're screwed.

Agreed.

But also think if we don't bring anyone else in we're screwed.

I'm sure Eakin on CWR said we have a squad of 19. Leshtur have 32.

THEY thought they had won the league at 12.15 today. Something tells me they won't be believing the bookies hype as much now!

On my thoughts of the game there were some big positives today in the for of Gael chicken biriani & Christie looked like he could be a good player for us this season. - glad he took a risk and played the two of them. Thought Bakers sending off made no real difference as i dont think he was looking that effective up to then anyway! Hussey didn't look like he knew what position he was playing for most of the game either, and needs to stop playing backwards all the fecking time!!!

Final point with selection was IS PLATT INJURED STILL?? Didnt see the point in having Wood & McPake both on the bench as it seemed to limit his options in changing the style of play towards the end.

Yep. Our squad's simply too small. We need to hope we've had a takeover by January.

Yep. Platt still injured.

I'm sorry but Leicester will be getting a lot of clean sheets this season. They had 5 in midfield and a very expensive midfield and backline who were athletic and organised.

Any team would have found it hard to break them down.

It think a few people on here are ignoring this fact and need to wake up.

We will NOT be playing opposition of that quality each week. That is as hard is it gets and if the fucking ref hadn't even things up things may well have gone our way today.

Well our squad list was longer than theirs on today's programme. Problem is they've got 20 odd Championship players and a few kids and we've got a few Championship players and 20 odd kids!

That didn't pass me by. Leshtur though no great shakes were indeed extremely organised.

Still don't think we have enough in our locked though to score many goals. Juke is not an out and out goalscorer, neither is Platt. Sheff is the only player who has that poacher instinct, but he's seem to be going past his best and looks best served out on the wing. We therefore desperately, and I mean desperately need a goalscorer.

on a sane note once we went a goal down we had no options on the bench to try and turn the game round. Probably an obvious point but something we will have to live with.

The team did very well against an expensively assembled side. Obviously, it will take a few more games to get a better grip of our relative worth. In that sense, Coleman was right: 10 games will be a better reflection of how this side will stand up this season. (although Coleman also preferred 10 game winless streaks).
