No he's gone to a club at home - if he wanted to come to England and stay his agent could have found an alternative club for him to go to with bigger crowds - he has gone home. No story, no conspiracy.

Did I say there was a conspiracy ?? .. I said I suspect ... totally different meanings ... No story .. well obviously is, there's an article about it in your link and him going home.

This is my opinion that it is most high likely he was not expecting what he saw at our club... probably was a shock to his system just like it has been to us and felt he could not improve his career with our club. Obviously his agent did not do his due diligence (where have we seen that before?) but was fortunate to have his contracted club as a safety net to go back to.

Tell me what would you honestly do playing for a top division team, playing against the countries top team some that are in the champions league and end up in sixfields with a league 1 club paying behind a 1200 crowd?? Its a no brainer really!!

You categorically said he was NOT homesick - that's a statement not an opinion.

You say his agent did not do his due diligence? What google CCFC you mean? Who is his agent?

What's your next exclusive? Elvis is alive on the moon and lives in a double decker bus?

No because it's a load of shit that you have made up

The word "suspect" is an opinion, which is used by many who cannot provide no solid evidence .. maybe there is there was nothing to it but stop twisting it as if I said this to be to be gospel .

Here's a meaning of the word "suspect": have an idea or impression of the existence, presence, or truth of (something) without certain proof.

And for the attendance .. please find be proof where there attendance is lower than ours if its all a load of shit.

The problem with some of the sky blue fans here is they think with there hearts than there heads and take any negative statements said about the club to seriously.

Is Charlton's attendance bigger or lower than scunthorpes?

I think even Yeovil attract more than go to Sixfields don't they?

to be fair googleing coventry city stadium gets you the Ricoh Arena, googleing ccfc stadium gets you sixfields. pretty easy for a lazy or simply foreign agent to end up giving false information, especially as the vast majority of photos of us playing at home are at the ricoh.

An image search for Coventry city, coventry city home, coventry city stadium All bring up a page full of ricoh photos. ccfc stadium brings up a mix of ricoh, cardiff and the fake new stadium we are planning, half way down that page you start to get some sixfield shots.

Looking at this you seem to be quoting his views on our club as factual. I assume therefore you must have seen an interview where this was quoted. Provide a link and we can allow on.

So you think everything at our club is hunky dory then??? it does not take a rocket scientist to see why he has gone and why would he do an interview about why he left us. Wake up and smell the coffee ... No one outside cares what happens at Coventry City Football Club ... any interview he does as why he left is a non story ... WE ARE NOT MAN UTD.

I don't think anybody thinks it is honky dory they just don't think everything is a conspiracy.

You are really scraping the bottom of the barrel now?

Not really - lets look at seaborne. Played more games this season for Yeovil that Schlager for his team - they are in a higher division and so play bigger teams and attract bigger crowds. Why is he here?

Exactly ... googling is worst form of research ... its lazy and dangerous to rely on it. I can imagine there being football agents out there that use google as there main form of research. Good agents have good contacts and networks.

To improve there career obviously, by playing more games and being part of a competitive league with bigger teams?? ... SO what you saying??

You think Schlager was going to get that here with us in League 1 with an attendance of barley 1300. I might be wrong but don't Yeovil and RKC Waalwijk get more TV air time than we do? That would play some part in joining a club to improve your career these days.

It's not really a conspiracy though is it, some are suggesting he got here, it wasn't what he expected and wanted to leave, thats not really that different to being homesick, ie it sucks here vs I wish I was at home, they can both be true and one leads to the other.

The fact that we've had 2 people recently get here and then quickly leave increases the chance of the suggestion being true and honestly it's completely understandable, it is hard to see how a fully informed person could think we are a good option right about now unless they are desperate. So when someone comes and very quickly leaves it's reasonably possible they weren't fully informed. I don't know either way but it's perfectly reasonable for someone to suggest this could be the case.

Slager left because promises made to him when he joined didn't happen fact !! and that's it, came from the player himself a week last Sunday. His agent moved him on and was to have a trial at Blackburn Rovers, looks like Stoke came in first. Lets see where he ends up.

Oh come on .. you can't just leave it like that ... why does it not make sense ... I would like you opinion on this?

I'm serious I didn't get your point. My point was a player joined Coventry to drop down a division and play in front of less supporters. The response confused me.

Source? Evidence?

Is that it?????????? did the article link you posted not mention he wanted to improve his career or was that BS??

as quoted by SP on that article link you posted

"It's regrettable that we find ourselves in this position as Denzel is a talented young player but at this moment in his development he would prefer to continue his career in his homeland."

So he could not get this at CCFC??? that's how it interporates.

Not his homeland no. Rupert says Blackburn want him and he has seen a quote from the player himself. Very fair to ask the source I think.

Wasn't Jordan Clarke preferred to him as centre forward. His career wasn't exactly looking up was it?

The source was the family of a current player who brought him home for Sunday dinner. I have asked them for his nap-kin to have it DNA 'd for proof. Can't do any better than that. But I think the proof is he has gone elsewhere, was told Blackburn lets see what happens. Was also told SP was livid he lost him.

He wasn't signed to be thrown straight into the first team. He probably thought that all English clubs play 35 miles from their home towns and cities in order to go toe to toe with their local councils and decided it wasn't for him.

No your opinion that he left because of sixfields is the biggest load of shite on here.

Are you forgetting that Slager was on trial with us for several weeks in December before signing so he knew the scenario?

Slager signed an 18 month contract, he can't just get up and leave because he feels like it. If he is such a talent and so in demand that Blackburn and Stoke want him, why didn't we wait to get a fee for him in the summer?

We could have sent him out on loan if he really didn't want to be here in the short term.

What makes you think it isn't ... the pitch isn't exactly in good nick from what I heard and the crowd atmosphere is dire. Looking from the outside in ... would you blame him.

The fact he was on trail maybe made him realise this club is not where he is going to progress or he see's no certain future with our club.

What are you babbling about, he was on trial for a month so he obviously knew about sixfields before signing the 18 month contract. He almost joined us in the summer so I think he would be well aware of the situation. So to then to use it as a reason for leaving a month later is stupid.

All logic and common sense points to this entire thread being rubbish, however people want to believe it as it gives them a reason to blame SISU no matter how crazy it seems.

Knowing about Sixfields and being and playing there is a different matter??

If you have read my post ... it also points out the it was most likely not only where we were playing but how the club is run and the future it has and maybe not kept up to its promises ... seriously if you were a young player, would you see any future for our club?

I hope I'm wrong but I can see Callum not being with us for long either.

So if he was aware of the situation as you say and he was coming into it with eyes wide open, what was it that made him change his mind? What we see as fans on the surface is one thing but as we all know, very different things happen behind closed doors. Don't believe for a single second that he was homesick as he was here for a while before he signed.

Players have left after a couple of months before for being homesick - this is just getting dumber by the minute.
